Never won the jackpot, but I think you have to play whatever the full amount is per spin. For example, if the highest dollar amount spin is $5.00 per spin, you have to choose that. I have won $2500 and $1500 on one spin, so that was like a jackpot to me.

I think they do get won, but the jackpots aren't only for 888, many sites have these games so the jackpots, when won, aren't likely won on 888.
Obviously the jackpots are won very rarely and add in the number of sites with the games it's even tougher.
Even the guaranteed daily jackpot is spread over several sites I believe.
Like you I pretty much try to play the casino just for the casino mix-up ticket or when I'm near completing a level, or if I have a bonus.
Currently I have an $8 casino bonus from a club scratch card up to $199 with only $141 left needed to wager to clear it.

I got an $8 casino bonus from a club scratch card for completing 5 levels and thanks to several amazing slot spins I just cleared $219.
I also see 888 has a new casino challenge, but it doesn't seem to be working.
If you complete the challenges you are supposed to get a "Stroke of Luck" scratch card.
I completed all 3 rather easily and I'm still showing 0/3 completed so I did a couple of them again and saved the screen shots and still show 0/3.
The challenges are:
1- Slot games - spin until you win 5x your wager (my spins were $0.20 and the spin shown in $1.68, more than 8x)
2- European roulette - place a bet in a round where the winning number is 8 (I did that earlier, but didn't try to do it again)
3- Multi-Hand Blackjack - Win a hand with 21 (I have both a BJ and a 21 in the screenshot)

You can win up to $1000 in casino bonus and also tickets to the Stroke of Luck all-in freeroll each day.
I've been watching and after several days not 1 of these freerolls has actually run, they have all been cancelled for not having enough people entered. Minimum entries is 80 players, but when I checked today there were somewhere around 22 players entered.
Maybe it has something to do with the minimum betting requirements for the challenges...
You have to wager a lot just to complete 1 challenge.
For instance, 8 will come up on roulette once every 37 spins on average, so you could end up having to wager $370 at $10 a spin. It might come up right away, but might not come up even after 100+ spins. And this is just 1 of 3 challenges you need to complete for a scratch card.
I was willing to maybe take a shot or 2 at it until I finally got an email with the minimum betting requirements. $1 a spin on roulette and $1 per hand on BJ is about my limit for a promotion like this, end even then it would only be maybe once or twice, not every day.
