Kinda proud. I've played a bunch and came in 3rd twice. Played heads-up and won a few. But this is my first win I would count. I just joined Titan based on the advice of the Forum and so far so good. I know it's only a 6-player Limit game, but I was starting to get discouraged about SnGs until now.

Just thought I'd share.

Congrats. and what do you think you are doing differently now to get you the win? Playing more selective hands, more aggressive betting, etc? Just curious.

Thanks for asking. Well, probably a couple of things: I'm learning how to make my hand losses smaller & my hand wins bigger. Also, I'm memorizing break-even odds & knowing when it's worth it to chase.

Kinda hard to explain those. I'll just say I'm reading a bunch of books and I'm coming up with my own style by combining what I've learned from them.

I hope it's not because the competition at Titan is soft. Oh well. Thanks again for the attention.

I joined a omaha hi/lo $5 sitngo yesterday on party, and didn't realize it was limit! Limit? I've never played limit omaha, or limit anything actually. But I gave it my best, and won the game! $25 in my pocket... BTW, congrats on your win MrSticker.

i just won my 1st ever sng tourney.

i had been getting frustrated at my lack of progress in mtt's and freeroll mtt's and decided to give a sng a go. i played pretty well and only made a few mistakes but they didn't cost me to much. when it got down to heads up i just switched up a gear and bullied my opponent into submission. i saw on tv that when ur the small blind in heads up you should pretty much raise everytime, i did this and 9 times out of 10 the other guy folded. he eventually went all in and i called with 3,2 offsuit, he had A,10 offsuit. the flop was no help to either of us, 4,7,J the turn was another J and the river a 3, i won with 2 pair. i still don't know why i called but it worked out ok, $45 aint bad for an hours poker.

Congratulations to both.. I love sit & go's.. but warning what you see on t.v doesn't translate to a guaranteed win. What if your oppenent re-raises you while you are the SB? Remember the SB has to act 1st so you are the one that is under pressure.

The first is always sweet. I play more SNGs than anything else as I find the large MTTs are to long for me. Wait until you win your first forum event - that will feel real good...

First sit and go win feels great, well done. First MTT win even better. First Cardschat win and your on the way to becoming a very good poker player.

Looking forward to seeing you at some of the buy-in's in the near future.

congrats mill and sticker!
SnGs are one of the most efficient ways of building up your bankroll conditional to the site of course
Noble and I'm guessing Titan too, as they're owned by same company, have sooooooo many fish in the SnGs
I built my entire bankroll from putting my freeroll winnings into SnGs...even $1 and $2 ones.
keep up the good work and again congrats!

just played in my 2nd ever sng, i didn't win this time but i came 2nd and won $15. i didn't play anywhere near my best this time which is a shame because i felt i was up againts weaker opponents. i think the problem was my decision making, it just wasn't consistant enough and i ended up playing myself into trouble with some hands. definately something i need to work on. 2 tournaments and 2 cashes is pretty decent start, hopefully i can keep it up.

Congrats to both of you. I seldom play anything but no limit sng's as I have found them to be an effective, steady way to improve my game while building my bankroll. Titan may not have the level of competition of pokerstars but it is generally good, unless you get in a cardschat game where it is very good. I like having to figure out quickly what type of game I am in & and adjusting my play. When you think you are plaing well but not being rewarded with wins & high places I recommend checking out the Poker Strategies area of this forum. There are a number of skilled players who answer general and or specific questions and offer there insights in this section. Good luck & enjoy.

What is it about SNGs? Seems I can't play for jack in ring games but I've won seven of my last 20 SNGs (knock on wood).
