I frequently play razz at FTP, but until today i only had played at ring games.
Today at 12:00am i recieved the notice that my most hated football team had won the Sudamerican Cup (it´s like the UEFA Cup). I saw the definition by penaltys, and i felt terrible.
To try to clear my mind i opened FTP to play some game. I sorted the tournaments by the status, and i saw that a $5 buy in tournament was going to begin at 12:30am. I saw what game was and it
said razz. I thought "Ok, i have played some razz cash games and showed a little profit, now is time to see how well can i do it here". So i entered to the tourney. The game was very fun, and the best thing was that the level of play wasn´t too bad as it would be in a $5 NLHE tournament. In a $5 limit game you may think that there would be just calling stations trying to chase any low card down to the 7th street, but i was very glad to find it wasn´t like that. Actually i saw very few showdowns.
Early in the game i stayed in the middle of the positions, almost all time with the average stack. Then i started winning some key hands and in the first break i was 4th. From that moment i stayed almost always in the top 10, and i reached the final table as 4th. The game was intense, and for a moment i thought i would end as 4th, because when we reached the final 4 i was short stacked. Using position and continuation bets against big stacks i managed to steal some good pots, because the blinds were high. When we reached the final 3, quickly i started a very aggressive game which helped me to move up to 1st position. With the big stack i started a more aggressive game and it worked very well. I busted the 3rd and then the heads up lasted 1 hand (i had 120900 chips against 15600, with blinds 2000/4000 and 300 ante).
It was a great game, had a lot of fun playing razz.
p.s: for the record i never had a wheel...

congrats on the win JL, Razz huh, i hate the game just like most pros do, its a tough, tough game and it can drive you crazy, maybe i hate it cause i never done well in it, but its a mind boggling game. I think you just might be the first cardchat member to turn pro, i dont think there are any pros here, but you might just be the first to do it, your young and determined,so if you get the chance, do it, but dont forget about all of us here, lol>lol. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>buck>>very well done:hello:

Good Job Jesus, I've never tried Razz but winning any MTT is difficult so congrats on the accomplishment. It's neat to see so many of our members regularly finishing in the top spots.

I actually like Razz..haven't played it live or online.. Just on the computer against computer opponents..I do love the idea of crappiest hand wins..
Correct me if I am wrong.. but most crappiest is the 10,8,7,6,5,3,2.. something like that.. Low straight but without hitting the straight..

Congratulations though..

If pros don´t like razz then i cannot turn pro, because i love it :)
Anyway i don´t pretend to turn pro because i´ll never have the bankroll to do it. My only dream is to start playing at least 1 wsop event (not the main one) per year starting at the age of 42.

The best hand in razz is the wheel (5,4,3,2,A). Straights and flushes don´t exist.

LMAO. When they win 32 national titles, 1 without losing any match, 1 championship celebration at our stadium, and when they get our manager to resign there, then we can start the discussion. Boca doesn´t exists. They are nothing.

¡¡¡AGUANTE RIVER!!!

p.s: I don´t know who´s West Ham´s enemy, so i have to keep my dog as avatar:)
