You guys here seem to be on top of the online poker industry, so where should I consider playing for real cash at? US Friendly sites please

I have downloaded and registered at the following sites: bodog, FT, Poker Time, Absolute, Sportsbook, poker stars and Poker Stars

Bodog

If you play the New Player Invitational at Bodog (you have to email support@bodoglife.com to apply for an invitation) and finish in the Top 5 you win great sign up bonuses that will effectively TRIPLE your original deposit AND it is instantly available without any bonus clearing (to play with that is, I doubt you could withdraw it without clearing points).

I finished third and the prize was a $50 instant match + $55 in T$. So when I deposited $50 I instantly had $155 to play with.

The tournament is only open to players that have never deposited at Bodog. It is a free-roll and usually has around 45 entrants. It runs twice a day and you can play as many times as necessary until you place top 5.

1st Deposit Where?

Sorry If I got confused here - but I'm just unsure if you've ever deposited money at those sites that you've downloaded and registered for. If you've already registered for the sites that you've already named, you could also look at other sites where you can get a 1st Deposit Bonus so that you can get more money for your modest initial deposit. For example, you can get an intial deposit bonus at PokerRoom and then also get registeration for a beginner tournament and then use that for satellite entries into their big tournaments such as the NA Poker Championships or the 5-star Tournament in Las Vegas. Take a look at different sites and see where you can get the best bang for your buck.

Believe me, don't worry about how much you put in. I'm a student right now, so my playing time and funds are really low lately. Where-ever you do go, good luck on the tables!

You may want to download a few sites and see how you enjoy the softwear. Personally I despise how pokerstars looks, and that can sometimes distract my play. I also recomend that you check out the different bonus offers that sites offer for first time deposits. Be sure to read carefully though!

full tilt and pokerstars both offer 100% 1st deposit bonus and they are (in my opinion) the two greatest pokersites bar none, and both do allow u.s. players. these are the only sites i play on exclusively.

For a very short bankroll such as yours, you might read some of the suggestions here.

I recommend UB: $0.50 +0.05 sngs are perfect for a $25 br. Also, since you have not yet downloaded it, may I suggest you sign up for one of the rake-back deals out there...

bodog poker(the new site) has $2 buy in SNGs called beginner Tourneys, they pay 5 places at a 10 seat SNG. Suck outs happen everywhere, but if you show some patience you can build that bankroll quickly & fairly easily.

Oh my God! Did I just say something positive about Bodog? Doctor, come quickly! :)

I agree with the ultimate bet for short bankrolls for those of us who dont want to pay too much to play. I love it because I can win a dollar on a free roll and sit down at a ring game and play it, play a sit n go for .50 and still play a ring. It makes me a little angry on fulltilt that i have .48 sitting there i can do nothing with. i got 100% on ub and I can cash out now that i ve deposited when i do win big off my little freeroll winnings or my occasional meager deposits

True - but they also have high (the highest?) rake on low stakes games. It gets a bit more realistic as you go up levels, but their $1 SnGs charge 25% rake on top.

If you're depositing $500 that's not likely to be a problem. But if you're depositing $50 or $100, it might be a consideration.
