year 2000/2001 was the start of my online poker life, my first poker site was a new kid on the block with alot going for it! When it 1st open it had over 20k to 50k player base.. now its around 300 to 500 : (

Playing this site online wasn't just a great old time, it was the best time i think i have ever ever... EVER had playing poker online, before stars, full tilt, and others.

Why? simple, people TALKED!!! people talked at the tables every day, saying nice hands, to bad beats, to 'hows the kids?'. In my years from leaving this site to goto bigger sites like tilt & stars, i've found playing small and bigger stakes, people just dont chat anymore, its like all they care about is making money.

I think thats apart of online poker i miss the most is table chatter, i've tried so many times to work up talking during MTT and ring games, but 95% of the time noone speaks.

So i said to myself, lets go check out that old site that i started my first online poker with " True Poker ".. yes if your thinkin.. damn its old, damn its different, but i swear you sit down at table, and you'll see the chat box flying, and boom i d/led it, logged on, enter my credit card info, put a few bucks on the site and boom, people are chatting..

First table, 1st time on the site in 10 years, three people said hello!, and wish me gl, after a few hands, i took in a queen high diamond flush and i got 'vnh', 'wp', 'nh' running down the chat box... ahhh the feeling : )

yes i could go play live, but this is to fun to past up : )

they also run freerolls, for all you freebies out there

Sites figured out more chatting = less hands = less profit.

The social aspect definitely can be fun, especially if you are just playing to screw around. I know alot of players here are really serious and don't sit unless it is to profit. But I do get where the OP is comming from. I have nights I feel like playing but not being to serious.
That is why I will then start a 2nl thread, lol
