I played $5 SnGs and won consistently and decided to up the limit and take it to $10
the level of play is only slightly better - still the majority of players are mediocre or just plain fish
but i cannot crack them....i still have yet to win one
I think i've played around 10 or 12 of them and placed only a couple of times!
seems like i always either get sucked out or just bad beat and just miss the money
i dont know what it is...it's not like im in a slump either; i mean i'll go back down and play the $5 and start winning again
then try the $10 again and lose!

sorry for moaning im just really frustrated:mad::mad::mad:

Keep at it, it'll turn around. Youre probably just having some bad luck. if you want good play, you could play the $20 sngs, but be careful what you wish for........

You'll turn it around Chuck. Solid play beats the suckouts in the long run. How many players are in you S-N-Go's? Are you playing all 10 player ones. If you are mix it up a little and play in some 6 player. You could also play the 20 player at the $5 level, the opponents are worse than $10 and in the 20 player your patience and good play could pay you dividends.

yeah ive taken down a few of those 20-person ones
i play both; 6 and 10
today i accidentally signed up for a $10 turbo at the same time as a reg. $10
so 2 tabling i ended up winning them both :D plus i placed in the one right before
took me long enough but i finally broke through now hopefully the good luck will carry into the $10 CC buy-in :D

By the way Chuck, I finally tried a $10 6 seat S & G here at Titan. I usually play the 5 seat at Paradise or King Solomon, easy pickings you know, anyway I played with what was possibly the worst player I have set at a money table with ever. He went from 1000 to 400+ to 1700+ before I participated in a single hand. He hardly ever raised, never folded, & chased all the way to the river & then called lasst bet even after missing his hand. He is my new best friend. Should I ever sponser an event like Alon did, instead of money 1st place will get his name. lol. By the way one fairly good player at the table but by the time we got to headsup his betting patterns were so obvious that even though he had a pretty good chip lead I knew that unless I just caught a bad break I would get him. Went just like I thought. After playing with the sharks around here it's quite nice to set at a table where you feel like you are in control.

nice; sounds like you dominated, kenzie
as for me, the winner never seems to be determined by skill
by the time it gets down to 3 players, the blinds are always so ridiculous that it's either all in or fold, and it just comes down to 2 players having a hand at the same time and one calling the other's push
i'm gonna start playing the normal-speed ones

I played two $6 speed Limit SNGs today at party. I lost pots with:

J♠ A♣ lost to Q 10 offsuit (I caught trip jacks on the flop, they caught running queens)
Q♠ A♠ lost to 8 5 offsuit (straight on the river)
K♠ A♥ lost to 4 T offsuit (two pair vs my aces)
K♦ A♦ lost to 6 6 (I hit a flush, 8 came on the river to make a full house)
K♦ K♥ lost to A 9 offsuit (caught the ace on the flop)

And because I pushed so hard with these cards I ended up having my stack crippled.
I feel like crying at the minute. I still cant lay down big hands on the river in limit. Im never going to play a speed game again...
