When playing olp do you find that you play better poker with several tables open say to having only one table opened? For me i like to play a max of 8 tables at a time instead of just one and for some reason which i dont understand i play better cards when i play more tables. I like to play alot of sngs and mttts some cash.just wonderin if im not alone on this.

I find that I have too much down time playing 1 table, which leads to boredom, which leads to playing dumb hands, so I always try to play a few tables.

I also got bored playing 1 table but results said otherwise. I dont think id be that good playing 8 tables because you end up missing how players are playing. Everyone plays differently and you have to find where you're making the most money.

For example, if at 1 table you are 10bb/hr, 2 tables: 9bb/hr, and 4 tables: 4bb/hr, then you should play 2 tables as it nets you more money (18bb/hr vs 10 and 16).

I think it's good to spend at least some time playing at just one table. It's hard enough to really pay close attention to what all the other players are doing on a single table. Playing multiple tables leads to more robotic play, which, if done well, can obv be plus ev, but I think more improvement happens while really focusing on one game at a time. It's somewhat analogous to playing longer chess games instead of a bunch of blitz games to improve.

I like to play about 2-4 tables at a time. It allows me to still notice things at the table, but it also keeps me occupied and I play better.

I usually only play 1 or 2 tables when playing SNGs and MTTs. I like watching the players for clues to their play. I'm not a big cash game player so not sure there but I would still like to watch the players. I have a 38" monitor so I can have both tables on screen at once and have them as big as a laptop screen. Like Doom said, I will sometimes only play one table on my desktop and watch a movie on my laptop at the same time.
