We encourage every resident of the State of Washington to reach out to your respective State Representatives and Senators and encourage them to take a look at I-582 and I-583, and consider supporting these measures for the benefit of the people. Unless they otherwise from their constituents, they may go on thinking that an outright ban and criminal penalty is in the peoples' interest. It is up to us to make sure they know that a regulated market is the only way to get rid of the underground market, and the best way to protect against problem and underage
gambling.
We have also identified some key lawmakers who have demonstrated a willingness to stand with us in the fight to change the law regarding internet poker. An extra effort should be made by all to let these legislators know we appreciate the stands they have taken, and encourage them to support our effort with these Initiatives.
