Done. Anyone got a link to the "anti-gambling expansion" in the Republican platform? The only thing I could find is the 2008 Platform that doesn't discuss gambling at all EXCEPT FOR: Internet Gambling

| Weekend of June 9th, 2012 I created a new online petition to specific Members of Congress, including one member who is not on either Twitter or Facebook. As the petition system emails each recipient with the results, this is yet one more avenue by which we can reach each member!

The second RPT link is a blank page. They must have deleted the post. http://www.facebook.com/RPTcon/posts/444524538899582 And I'm banned from the Replican Party Convention facebook page. Got to love how the Republicans pretend to honor the constitution. Guess they skipped over the part about free speech. When are we going to get a viable third party? Never--because the Dems and GOP control the process and they are just two sides of the same devalued coin.

Congress Nothing gets done if people don't stand together and voice their opinios. I tweet a couple times a week on how stupid the Feds are opposing Internet gambling when the economy sucks at this time and they could generate more money by allowing it and just taxing it like everything else they do. Basically it's what uigea was all about they were' getting their piece of the action so they took it out on off shore banking to get their way morons they are. With social media today we can do a lot.

It occurs to me that perhaps we all are over complicating things. All we really need is the ability to transfer funds to and from the sites securely. That is what was taken away from us via the 2006 UIGEA. Rather than trying to re-create a whole industry, let's work on the part that got broke. Even the remaining US sites, would be fine if money transfers were fixed. Then we could do stuff like petition whoever to get Stars back in the US, and since they are only charged with UIGEA violations, and maybe a few laundry issues (not their fault) and are the only party poker involved who handled everything responsibly, and the DOJ saying that most of the charges brought against offshore sites are not valid, and probably will not be prosecuted, then we are solving a broken thing, not trying to re-create a new thing. I can guess that some guy in New Mexico, or Wisconsin or wherever who wins a big online prize will end up spending a whole lot of that in their states generating income, and taxes and jobs for that state. Getting the money flowing again will be the cure for all the problems. Last edited by dj11 : 15th June 2012 at 9:41 PM.

poker rights I signed the newest petition, one day last week.Altho all this is getting old. If they can't even pass a budget,or refuse to pass a budget, which they are required to do by law, what kinda chance does a poker bill have?I will keep signing and supporting online poker, but our government is getting worse by the minute in many ways. Its like a runaway train and nobody can stop it.
