PTR total earnings

was looking at Cole South

and see that he just broke 1M after more than a year of no profit. How could he have kept playing in the nosebleeds without making any money. Is PTR wrong or does he just make enough of other income?
I have noticed this for more than just him but was wondering how accurate PTR is.

HSDB has a totally different picture BUT he is one of the owners or has a stake in cardrunners.
