| Basics on HEM/PT3/HUD use First post on this forum! I'm enjoying the threads and now I have question. I'm just starting to get into online NLHE after playing league poker and I've done pretty good given that bar poker tends to be DONK CITY. I have a pretty good 'text book' knowledge of poker theory and what not, and my math-in-the-head-at-the table is good enoug for now. I'm on Pokerstars using Holdem Ranger as my HUD and I'm wondering 1) What essential stats should I have on display? What clues about players ought I look for using these stats? 2) What kind of stats are optimal for me be resolving at micro and low stakes? Like, what is a profitable VP$P, what should my Agg Score look like, etc? I'm a run of the mill TAG but I do see lots of flops from late position even with crap cards if there are tight players to my left and no raises b4 me. |

| how many hands do you have and what sre your stats showing would probably be a better way for us to pick up things about your play. Also are you playing SNGs MTTs or cash as optimal stats for all these will probably be different. I would say there is no exact VPIP numbers that are profitable it all depends on how well you play pre and post flop and what games you are playing i think I am around 16/12 over alot of hands but as I say this number would be skewed over a small sample |

However, this will change based on the game, stakes, ect. Especially if you're playing SnG's or tournaments. Quote:
