What to do in this situation with AA?

Tournament is $30,000 monthly. We are about 3 Hours into and i am little below average (avg 40g im around 37g ...from memory) Blinds are at or around 3000/1500. I have tag table image and have been playing well and at this table people saw me win 2 hands with fullhouses with K10 and 75. I havent raised a lot but have a couple times, mostly limped with position. About 15-20 hands ago i had AA on sb, and had a lot of limpers so i pushed all in(got most people to fold 2 called, i was able to trip up). Now i get AA, to the left of utg., raise 3x BB, everyone folds. (was looking for 1-2 callers)dam. Next hand AA again! (couldnt believe it, first time) Now i am utg and i raise 3x BB again. Everyone folds. dam.

i think i should of just raised 2xBBm in both situations. Or should i have limped then play the flop? I didnt want to limp because table was relatively tight,2-3 lag and didnt expect a reraise. But people see limping in those position as just as strong too and then they can crack them easily. So 2xBB next time in both positions? because the blinds and antes were def not the ev i could have gotten. however i didnt lose with them.

1 thing to note is, DONT BE RESULTS ORIENTED, just because u didnt get action with AA doesnt mean that u played it bad and raising to 2bb isnt a good play as it will get too many ppl into the hand and AA in a 4 way pot isnt that strong

tight table, you might have tried 2X second time, but you played it by the book, so what the hell, no callers, it happens.
Another crazy alternative second time might have been all in, some idiot might take you as a thief and call.

You make that out to be a bad thing, AA pre-flop is the nuts and you are 85% heads up vs any other random hand. I always hope to have everyone fold and the last guy to call is going to have to put all his chips in the middle to see my cards then.

I think you HAD a pretty tight image at this point but it looks as though your range is def opening up (at least to others) since you are raising pretty frequently the last couple of rounds. If you are playing big pots regardless of PT3 or Holdem Manager stats, it looks like your a bomb.

You are only getting action if someone has a strong hand as well and wants to just chip up and play you for stacks. I think I would have just shoved the second time UTG ... it looks like you are getting nervous and trying to chip up before the blinds hit you to other players in a comfortable chip position. I think most people think KQ suited or better is good against you if you've only got 12-13BB UTG and could pay you off.

Although I don't think you made any mistakes ... some people aren't always paying attention to stack sizes and might decide to put you to a test and 3-bet you which is what your 3xBB raise was trying to get ... I think.

I don't think you played it unoptimal at all, but mixing up your play and getting creative sometimes induces other players to get creative as well

Yea, my gut told me to shove second time, but then i thought then no way would anyone call, but, would seem kinda fishy. Sometimes if you you do throw that stack out there, people start to drool and get wide eyed. Did have tight image and was starting to loosen up and pick off desperate shortstacks. Only if i had position, probally could of made some nice money. If i am ever in same situation, i will know to mix it up just to confuse them if anything. thanks for input guys.

well, 3BB is a fair size raise, but the correct size raise. you played it as I would and you can't do much about it

Ohhh I love the limp with AA but usually only early in games where stealing is pointless. If you use the limp stradegy you HAVE to be able to fold AA which most cannot. Lots of people online min raise with monsters

So you are saying I believe, you got 3 AA in a row? That is unbelievable, i have gotten 2 AA in a row a few times, never 3. Standard blind raise is 3x blind, if there were 3 limpers going into the pot, 3x the blind is good. If just small blind nd big blind called, then 2.5x blind i would have done. That is just crazy that you got 3 AA's in a row. You better have won that tournament

never ever, ever, ever limp with AA. You will lose! My philosophy with AA is that I play for stacks. If it's the first level of a tourney I play for either win a big pot or scoop the blinds. The worst thing in the world is when you 3x aa on first level and some guy with 78o flops two pair, on rainbow board and you get stacked. Or someone with 22 flops a hidden set.

Looseness of the table is extremely important. In all likelyhood, the table was just sitting around waiting to get into the cash. If a table's that tight, you might want to limp in with 2x or 2.5x the bb. Also, take into consideration the rest of the table's stacks. The key here is to get about 1 or 2 people into the pot, otherwise, you'll just be stealing blinds.

I think you played it well, you didn't get lucky, but you didn't get beat either. You might have raised 5 or 6 big blinds the second time, to make it look like a steal because nobody called the first time, but everyone probably would have folded and you would have wished you only raised 3X (like you did), instead!

Well... playing with AA is pretty difficult imo, cause it's the best starting hand you can get in holdem, and if you see this hand you want to win as much as possible. I think limping is not a good idea with AA, cause you have to get folded the crap hands with an about 2-4 BB raise (depends on the blinds). So anytime i get AA, I always raise it, and if opponents fold, i rather win only blinds (and antes) than get beat by 2 pair with a crap hand. Of course winning a low pot with AA makes ppl a bit angry, but remember that you have only 2 outs to make trips.
This is my opinion, maybe it sounds a bit stupid, but i usually win using this strategy.
