Tips For Live Deep Stack Turbo

Hi everyone. The Paradise Poker Tour has come to my city (Madrid), so I decided to register for my first ever live tournament. I thought about the main event, a 3-day affair that is taking place right now, but at 550 Euros for the buyin, it was a bit beyond my budget.

However, there were some nice side events to choose from including tomorrow's 110 Euro Deep Stack Turbo.

I can't say this is my first tourney, as last weekend when I signed up for it I sat down for a knockout in the casino so I would be at least a little prepared. But I am not sure about the format. They are calling it a "Deep Turbo" with 15 minute blind increments, and 20,000 starting chips. It's not starting until 8pm Sunday (tomorrow) night, so I am assuming this will be a fast one.

Any tips, advice, past experiences, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

I play deepstack turbo at my local casino. 10k starting stack 15 minute blinds.
Learn a lot of shoving and calling ranges will help a lot as you'll enter that stage of the tournament very quickly. Post flop play isn't required as much as soon blinds will make the effective stack 10BB or less most of the time. Don't be afraid to shove wide esp. on BTN and SB as they'll call you a lot tighter than they should do. If you run into a big hand you've still probably got ~30% equity.
Also don't shove junk. Shoving 56s is better than J2o.

I've cashed 3/4 of my last attempts but the play is very soft [/brag].
