| Sweat Rex in an MTT I've been thinking about this for a while and have finally decided to go ahead and do something about it. I've been looking for a way to explain my approach to tournaments. The tricky part is that it is so context specific as to make any written explanation either long-winded and caveat ridden, or so bland as to be meaningless. There is of course no magic trick and with tournaments a big part of success is learning to deal with long periods of failure without getting downhearted, however I do think there's some things I could teach that would help people with their games. So I've decided to set up some sessions where people can use whatever the software is people use for these things to watch my holecards live during a tourney, while I explain what I'm doing (either voice or MSN depending on what the software allows). If I'm happy with how it works then I might make it a video. Might also generate some discussion about strategy/hands etc, hence in this forum. As a bonus and to make it fun, the person railing/sweating will get 5% of anything I win during the tourney up to a max of $100 (minimum $10 if I make the cash). I not going to do many of these (unless it goes really well and I enjoy it) because I'll have to concentrate on just the tourney and I usually play 6 ring tables in the first few hours and I need/want to clock up the hands. So I don't want to make it first come first served. Instead, if you are interested please send me a pm with a paragraph or two about your MTT game and anything you'd like to improve/understand better and I'll pick some people that way. Flattery (while nice) won't get you anywhere so please don't feel the need. I'll be honest I'll probably pick people who have been around for a while and I think would get something from talking MTTs for a few hours. I'll be honest and say that there are two people already on the list. They know who they are. Of course it's pot luck whether I last 5 minutes or 5 hours, but that in itself is part of what MTTs are about. The tournies will be the 1415 EST $22 rebuy on Stars which I play most evenings, and I'll arrange the dates with the people I pick. If it goes superwell, then I might do a Sunday warm-up/million as well. So send a PM with some MTT thoughts if you are interested. Err... would one of the regular sweat people to point me in the direction of the software I need |

| Not a genius on this but www.teamviewer.com works pretty well for seeing your hole cards. |

| Ok I will write up the pm here in a sec. Will sending you a naked pic improve my chances? lol jk, but anyways its great that you are doing this. Few Programs I know of: Teamviewer4 or Mikogo to see your desktop You can use either aim/msn/yahoo/skype to talk to each other but I suggest Skype out of all of those since Skype has the best quality. Skype with a certain plug in can be also used to view the desktop, I don't remember name of the plug in, ask Sean (icemonkey9) and he will tell you. |

Even a vid of portions of an MTT is great; I still have 2 sections of your previous efforts somewhere. |

| sounds good rex, i wouldnt want to take up a slot since lol donkaments and all that, but as a suggestion. Why don't you record all your tournies for say the next 2 weeks, filter out hte ones that went rubbish, and pick the few that you ran deep/ had cool spots in, then produce an early tourny/mid of tourny/late series to keep them relatively short in length |

| Thanks folks, I've had a fair few PMs so far and there's some quality thoughts in there. The thing that is coming through from a number of people is mid-late game either side of the bubble. Not with the bubble as a factor but how to get in a strong position for the endgame by building a stack. I think if I do a video as a test of the software I'll try and capture this bit as a priority. Not responded to anyone yet, will give it a bit of time, sort out the software and do a test run with one of my pre-applicants and get back to you. Thanks again for the time put into the messages. Key insight right there, and you will have helped our fellow CCers greatly if they even learn from this just that one thing alone. |

| Just did a test record on the first hour of the 22 rebuy. Talked nonsense for an hour and nothing happened. Will write it off as a test. I am sure now that I'll make some vids, but will keep them separate from the sweats. I think that'll work better (and avoid video/audio sync problems). |

| TeamViewer is a pretty sweet program. I use this at home to connect to my box from work, road, ect.... Just like VNC, but you don't need to remember your IP address and remember to check it when it changes, just the Code and ID. Quote:
