Suggestions for my strategy..

Ok hey all I'm reasonably new to poker.. been playing for a month now.. I think I'm average for a person who just started as I have have won a fair few 1dollar buy in SNGS or come in the top 3 at least and also I play a live game or 2 every weekend and won once came second twice and last night came third...

Not reason fpor this thread is basicly for my lives games as I'm starting to get firgured out alot at the table.. I still win hands but its getting harder..

For example I myself know I'm to predictable.. I class myself as a very tight player.. pretty much stick to face cards or at least high rags.. preferably suited or connectors, 10, 8 etc... but I have the same game plan for example

If I have high face cards I'll always raise2-3 BB.. always try to limp in with the rags or connectors preflop...

If I hit I normally do the same ol game plan and thats either 'check' and bet on the turn or flat call try to slow play unless I know I could be sucked out.. then I push.. most of the time people know I have hit cause if I havn't then I'd obviously fold...

I had the game of my life the other night though.. I slowplayed pocket kks.. got the pot up to about 30 k and a k even came up on the flop which was very nice :P won that.. semi bluffed a straight after that and basicly rooted the chip leader by getting another large pot..

Shoved someone off their QQ with my 44s...

But since I've played 3 weeks now with this familiar strategy its all getting to familiar and I'm getting checked and countered more so than before as they 65% of the time they know what I'm doing/have got.. or trying to do..

So whats some advice on how I could mix my game up a little bit so I'm not so obvious????

Just some ideas off the top of my head:

Raise with suited connectors from early position once or twice...

Start check raising with your better hands post flop so that you can check raise bluff later in the night...

Phil Hellmuth on Poker After Dark recently had luck by trapping people the following way:

Limp like AQ, AK, QQ ect, then when someone raises the limpers you 3-bet them hard. That way when you limp later people are more hesitant to raise you.

I don't know what your table is like or whether they will even change their play accordingly, but if you do the above to often you will lose some, but not much, value from your hands. I mean how many times can you limp from MP with AK before you start losing value?

if you are predictable become less predictable. Mix up your play and change gears. Use your image to your advantage. Look for opportunities.

Get loose. Start calling or raising with cards you wouldn't usually call or raise with. And definitely mix up the betting strategy. People pick up on that real quick. So like Mamushi said, limping in with big hands is a good strategy, but not too often. You know how you play currently; it shouldn't be too hard to say "oh well, let's not do this for this hand." But don't stray to far from your original game play, because you might lose your tight strategy that got you to winning the small sit n gos. Be aggressive once in a while too.

check raising, but don't do it to much.... Also do what bwrobbel said.
mixing up your betting helps to.
When in 2nl online, i have to mix up how i play there are to many that know what hands i am playing, so i have to raise some first, and if that don't work i will limp in, with low PP.
you could also add Ax, Kx well on the button......

Play a freeroll or macro game with the intent to try 1 thing different.. expand your calling range, or increase your bets. Don't try to change too much at one time.
