Ok so I play the sportsbook.com freerolls all the time, I will not put cash on that site cuz I think they are suspect, too much BS goin all the time and for too long and never a rebound, and even playin in the freerolls doesnt seem to be able to escape from it.
anyways, on a different note here, I ran into this hand couple days ago in a freeroll. I have a decent stack of 8k+ goin (which I have a lot in these and yet never cash), there was one guy with 19k and everyone else sig less than me. Im in SB and the blinds were 125/250. The 19k guy I had been watching and he was playin loose aggressive and by that imo not playing well &pushing around with his stack too much but getting lucky more than not. I get 78s and 19k guy min raises to 500, which he was doin a lot, one before me calls, i called, and BB called. flop comes K56 with 2 spades, so i got the open str8 plus flush draw. its checked to me and i lead out with 250 bet, and I remember when i did, i said out loud "shit, why did i do that?' I never do that completely on a draw and not sure why I did here, maybe becuz it was a freeroll and I have been on such along bad streak of luck getting knocked out of these I felt like I was way overdue. anyways, there it was, and BB folds and 19k guy pushes all in. other folds and I thot it about it and called pretty quickly. I would have folded or at least thot about it if i thot there was a decent chance this guy had a big hand like a set, but I knew he prolly only had top pair and so it comes down to if i hit my draw and he doesnt really have any outs if i do, plus pot is over 2k already. So i was right about his hand but surprised cuz he had K2, I couldnt believe he was willing to push all with my 8k stack in the hand. anyways I didnt hit and got knocked out of these freerolls for the billionth time. would anyone have played this differently, or is there any addt'l analysis to the hand someone wants to add? im wonderin, cuz for me, I couldnt fold.

on a different subject, im guna playin that 10k bovada freeroll tomorrow, so i hope to talk to some of yous on here while thats goin on , and good luck if you're in it!

Well by making that min raise you were begging for him to reraise you. If that wasn't what you wanted then you played it wrong. If you made a bigger bet then he might have folded but the min raise would have been a better play if you for example had pocket kings and flopped a set. Then he would re raise and you would be taking a lot of his chips

ur analysis seems pretty right on. my preferred play would be to check the flop, which i think i should have done, some might think its better to be agro, and that is certainly better than min betting, which like you explain was inviting a big reraise. on this specific hand, my guess is that it wouldn't have mattered, this guy was goin to go all on flop anyways, or bet good, and have me all in by the turn. bein that i felt like i knew he didnt have 2 pr or better, i wasnt goin to fold.

Well you were ahead on flop but I wouldn't have minbet flop since that's more or less waving a flag saying "I'm on a draw and want to see it for cheap".
