Just recently back to the online poker world and I must say I like the new format for the Triple Up SNG on Bovada I just wish they offered them in a bit higher stakes as well I can only find $3. Regardless when I 1st played online years ago I played a lot of $5 SNG that paid 25/15/10 and would go back and forth with it never really getting ahead. So I switched over to limit .25/.50 and .50/1 cash games and had a lot of success so I never went back to single table SNGs.

What I have found recently is that the triple up SNGs are rather profitable compared to the low limit cash games on Bovada. My game style and patience is what seems to make the difference and when you aren't really playing to win only outlast at least 6 others it changes the dynamics of the game a bit in a way that I like. Sure playing to win 1st and take 1/2 the pot is fun but with these SNGs you can wait it out for a good hand and if you get lucky enough to get great hands early and can double up off the maniacs you can almost sit out to the money at the least sit and play tight as you can waiting for others to get into action and bust out.

Long story short after grinding the micro cash games I was ahead but by no real amount to be happy with. But since I found these SNG I have already doubled my little $50 roll I started with in less than 3 days of playing a few here and there.

Could SNGs be my new best friend? ;)

They have 7$ & 8$ ones also...

But yea, these SNG are pretty easy to beat. All you need is just that one hand to double up to like 3k and you're good. You can just keep folding folding folding to top 3.

i hate double and triple up because it becomes a game of who coolers who early and honestly takes the upside of being able to grind someone down HU even with small stacks which is a huge advantage the end game can be imo where the biggest edge is and they just hack it off

That is the one thing that they lack that I miss out on is the HU play when you get down to the end. So you do lose out on gaining experience in the HU part of the game with these. I think patience is the key to them. I have played in some where I didn't even see a flop until the 100/200 levels because I was so card dead or only caught small pairs with huge raises before me so I lay them down. And then I get hit with QQ and AA and bam I am a big stack with only a few small stacks left pushing. The best thing is to conserve chips for when you get cards and hammer it hoping for the best. So many people trying to be pushy it is easy to lay in wait and allow them to hang themselves.

I didn't notice the higher limit games I will have to check it out! Thanks for telling me..

yes, I've been playing them too. I've been cashing in roughly 50% of them which is a small profit after the rake.

just bubbled one a few minutes ago where I flopped the bottom straight and he flopped top pair with an open ender....we couldn't get away with our stacks and so I was out 4th....to not cash a cooler like that pretty much has to happen or else being card dead the whole tourney.
