Sng micro limits

Anybody have any strategy for these? I do pretty well in MTTs but I'm trying to build a bankroll and to grind these is good. I did pretty well in the past but can't seem to get it anymore.

I like the DON's. Been doing pretty well in them. Very soft.

DONs are very soft at the micro level. If you can get good at that you can build a nice little bankroll...
In DONs remember, first gets the same prize as fifth, so you can quantify your result with either a WIN or a LOSS. Therefore you can keep a winning percentage.
However, don't think that 50% winning percentage is the break even point for profit!! You will be paying the house fee as well ($2 + 0.20, 20 cents is the house fee). A ten percent house fee means that you need a 55% winning percentage to break even.

There appears to be divided opinion about DoN games. You need to be disciplined, understand some fundamentals of ICM and M and not get bored when theres little to no action. Personally, I like DoN games and have built a couple of decent rolls on the back of them. They dont suit everyone. I play a lot more cash games now, so the DoN games can seem boring by comparison.
Beware in DoN games, there is unspoken collusion come bubble time, between players who understand the dynamic of the game and those who dont.
Theres not a whole lot of decent strategy articles on DoN games. Its because the games are pretty simple to play. Start tight when blinds are small, loosen up and steal when blinds are large enough to warrant the play, then you should have enough chips to get past the all in or fold time around the bubble. About the only hand playable come bubble time is AA and even that has its detractors.
So before you jump in and find you are out of your depth, have a good look at what SnG's are about and find what suits your game, traditional SnG games, 90 man, 180 man, DoN games and everything inbetween.

Guaranteed that if you read/study either of these books you'll be a winning SNG player (in the micros). Well worth it!!

What games are you playing, and on which network? Your strategy changes with the game types.

I am also finding some success in the DONs, albeit very slow, but everything is going to be slow with a roll of less than $100. DONs are very simple and with just a little bit of research you can nail down a winning strategy. Before I got ****ed by FT and the DOJ, I built a solid bankroll playing regular 9-man SNGs. There is a ton of information about these on the internet and in forums. It really comes down to what what you want to play and what is easiest to play. I only play DONs because there are not many low stake 9-man SNGs on Merge.

Lot of donkeys on microlimits, be tight agressive and don't take in count your lucky hands.

I would love to do some reading on micro SnGs. I think I am noticing that I prefer Tourney strategy. Please let me know some good titles and possible places to get them I tried a brick and mortar looking "Crushing the Micros" but couldn't find it. I think that is a cash game strategy book but just want to start doing some reading on micros as that is where I will be learning most of my lessons for a while. Really appreciate all feedback.

I did miss that post thanks. I am really excited to get reading. I have played online for a while off and on but I am thinking of making a first time deposit. So want to study up. I would also really like input on HUD programs for first time users. Do you think it is better to learn with or with out them to start? Also some suggestions.

def without, it's too expensive for a first timer to bother with. Plus, if you don't know how to use the info, it's basically useless anyways.

I've been crushing the $5-DONs on Merge without a HUD. I take notes on every noteworthy player, and color-code players accordingly. I've used a HUD before (I've used PT3 and PCP for Mac). The information was helpful and complemented my notes, but since I was playing the micros and play standard ABC TAG poker (DONs=mindless poker imo), it was only helpful identifying who the nits, regs, donks, and fish are. I'm HUDless now because I found them be too cluttery, even with just 3 stats shown. If there is a complete unknown on the table and their name keeps popping up then I may fire up PCP to look at hand histories and affirm what I've observed as their general betting patterns.
