Silly move in Double or Nothing This was one of the stupidest moves I've seen in a DoN. I gave myself a facepalm but I could not say anything as that would be collusion. We had 6 players left in the DoN. The short stacker had only 425 left with the blinds at 200/400. He goes all in UTG. I have J6 suited here on SB, and I intend to call and have BB call as well. Better chance to knock SS out. But then the BTN min raises to 800. At this point, I had a lil more than 2000 left so there was no point in me calling here so I fold. BB is a trooper (as it turns out) and calls. Long story short, 4 hearts hit on the board. The hand is checked all the way down. Neither BB nor BTN has a heart but SS has a 3h. BTN had 88 and BB had 95 os. I have no idea what the hell BTN was doing or thinking. In that spot where we just had to knock SS out, there was absolutely no benefit to making either of the blinds fold preflop.

I haven't played DoNs in a long time but I remember idiot players making these kind of plays on the bubble quite alot. So frustrating. I used to berate them quite a bit and tell them what I thought of their stupid play. I didn't think that would be considered collusion although I can see why it might be considered so.

re: Poker & Silly move in Double or Nothing The BTN's pre-flop play here was very odd indeed. I can only guess that he was multi-tabling and not paying enough attention to what he was doing. After the flop, his play seems standard. I'm not sure if it would have been considered collusion if you had berated the BTN after the hand was over, but it is usually best to just let bad players play badly. It is possible to imagine a situation, though, where the BTN raises it way up pre-flop with any two cards to provide "protection" for the SS (his buddy). Arguably this could be regarded as collusive behaviour too. Pokerstars had some problems trying to police the play in their DONs. At one point, they were able to establish that there was a group of Chinese citizens who were colluding in the DONs on a large scale. Eventually Pokerstars just stopped offering the DONs completely, although I'm not certain it was entirely because of collusion. They have replaced the DONs with Fifty50 SNGs where 5 of 10 players are paid based on the size of their finishing stack.

Is it colluding when the small blind tells everybody he has to fold. I was in a DON with 6 people left. Blinds were 500/250 and I was on my last BB and SB tells every body he has to fold. Sb was a big stack. The button then shoves with k5. I emailed support just asking to warn the person becuase I dont think he knew it was collusion. Didn't want to start a thread for this so this looked like a good spot to post.
