for the past week pokerstars have been running this 'Carnival' festival. increasing the prize pools of the Big tournaments, adding golden sng's and all culminating in a 800 million celebration $1 gtd. tournament in 6 and a half hours. thought it would be a good idea to do a thread for this as, more than ever, it is possible to turn a small investment in to something huge. for example in a Big tournament it is pretty common to win 1000x your buy in with a finish in the top places. pretty huge. however, today instead of the usual Sunday Biggers, which have 12 min blind levels as opposed to the Big's which have 10, they are running the 'Biggest' tournaments. usually these are pretty soft as it is, but with all the promotions and the fact it is a Sunday i expect these to be very soft and hugely profitable.
intending on playing pretty much all of them. the 800 million tournament has replaced Biggest $109. so all of them bar the $162 within my BR. intending on playing $5.50, $8.80, $22, $11, $55(unless things are going bad then i will skip it to ease BR) probably try Sat to $162 although tbh i dunnoo if i will bother because Sunday Mil and 800 mil i would prefer to play tbh. and then maybe $4.40 but doubt it tbh because will have been playing around 10 hours at this point.
also i think they are still running those golden sng's, not 100% sure though. will probably mix in some at the start of my session, which always starts off with $2.20R, Big $5.50, $5.50 R/A, $5.40 ko etc. because at this point there are not a lot of tournaments to play. then will probably mix in some whenever i am low on tables.
also intending to attempt to Satellite for the 800 million tourny and Sunday Million. 800 mil i am almost 100% certain to play. worst comes to the worst i may end up just buying in. i wouldn't be great br management but i have literally never bought in < 100 bi's so i don't think doing it once would hurt. don't expect it to be super tough field either. also i have $9k fpp's so could use them but dunnoo if i wanna. ideally i will Sat in. will likewise try for Sunday Mil, but have figured out those 3x turbo Sat's are not for me, regularly you can start after R period with 3 bb's. i like the 2x turbos will be sticking to them or playing some normal R turbos.
so yeah, today's plan is play all the way from around 2.30pm ( British time) then keep regging up until around the Biggest $4.40. playing all Biggest's bar $162, trying to Sat in to Million and 800 million, and try make some money
good luck anyone playing today! i will be posting some hands on here and saying how i am getting on throughout the day. this may be hard at times as sometimes i literally get no break as when i get my 5 mins i reg for next hours tourny's. but i will try! would be cool if people posted how they were getting on too, here gl!
