i'm currently playing the final table of a 2.20 plo 150 gtd at carbon and i have enough reads on players. i typically haven't used a hud for plo as i never really needed it, but i decided to give it a try. do stats really matter for plo such as vpip, preflop raise, etc? it seems as though calling or high vpip's is much higher than say nlhe.

I don't think there's anything wrong with using a HUD in PLO, it's generally going to be harder to pick up reads because majority of players will be seeing a lot of flops, but if you can pick up some of your opponents tendencies it sure helps!

There's nothing WRONG with using something like pokertracker, but I personally would take the stats lightly in PLO. People, especially at these lower stakes, will chase literally any draw they have, as PLO is much more of a gambling game than NLHE. However, even though these stats are HIGHER, that is RELATIVE. Differences between players in VPIP is what should be considered.
