Omaha H/L I have played quite a bit of stud H/L with a pretty good success rate. But for some reason I do really bad at Omaha H/L. I thought the similarities of the two games would keep me in good standings. What stategies should I use in Omaha H/L that are different than Stud?

They're pretty much the same game. The key difference is that you're often getting pot odds to draw to just a low playing LO8 for various reasons.

Completely different games. In stud-8, you can tell which of your opponents are likely playing for a hi, which for a lo, and which for both. In O8, you have to assume that every one of your opponents is not only drawing for both, but drawing for the nuts in both. You simply cannot play for a second-best low or a merely decent hi. That's not even getting into the vast differences between a stud game and a community-board game.

Oh, I forgot. Never or at least rarely play a hand where you have 3 of kind of the same suit or card. These are the worse hands because you only allowed to use 2 cards from your hand, so your outs are limited going into a flop. Unless you get really lucky of course.
