New tourny format on Stars - Timed

omgzz looks like easy money from where i'm sitting:

eg. The tournament ends after three levels. When the tournament ends, players will recieve a share of the prize pool according to their percentage of total chips.

Anyone think this is good, different strategy should be used or whether there is gonna be a lot of money in these things (like ROD used to be full of fish).

Steal blinds near the end would be one strategy, I would have to think of what else should be changed.

Only at micros atm and then they'll be rolled out at all stakes when they have been tested.

As CDX said being super agg. just before the payout will guarentee more chips i reckon, no-one wants to bust just before they get paid. Will give these a go when I got some time.

i can't play on pokerstars but i'm wondering what are they raking on these tourney's?
the fact that they are over really fast is going to give the skilled player a smaller edge.
the rake needs to be very low imo if these are going to be profitable. pokerstars stands to make a fortune if they are even 5% rake.

Well some run for three levels, others run for 180 minutes. I think the longer one wills be more profitable. I imagine the 3 levels one are like the biggest donkfests you'll find. Double up or go out.
