havent cashed in 39 games on partypoker, yet im having an excellent run live, both in tonaments and cash , is this normal?
i dont think im playing bad as im getting v.good results at the local casino
online usually get my money in good and get sucked out , and everytime I seem to get a strong hand like QQ, JJ im against AAor KK , no matter what I do cant cash?
Dont want to make this sound like bad beat thread or feel sorry for me thing , because thats not my intentions.
Just dont know anymore , how to play online:)

I don't think it's uncommon, I've gone streaks where I've not cashed 30+ and then cashed 10+ in a row. I don't really try to look at it as cashes anyway, so long as you're getting your money in good which you are apparently then it's fine and just standard varience.

It also depends where in the tournament you exit, It's commen not to cash in tournaments, after all it's only around 10% that do cash, as long as you feel your playing good and don't leave the tournamant to early.

With MTTs, remember it might only take one to turn things right around. Find a way to get out of the mindset of "here we go again" and decide to play your best all the time.

The balance can be tricky between sticking with a winning game plan and learning and making adjustments. Sometimes just another way of thinking about things helps me (ie I'll think of stacks in BB rather than M, or how many raises I have left -- really doesn't change much, but makes my brain work a bit more)

Good luck!

thanks for your suggestions and the bringing of my confidence back , some good advise like deciding to playing your best all the time , making it deep and acccepting standard varience should help and turn things around , cheers:)

after 48 non cashes , finally got a first place in $10 150 pl mtt , this should turn things around . One game can pay off the 40+ when you dont cash. Probably the most valueable thing I lernt from this was to play your best game all the time. When I hit 30+ games without cashing and got sucked out on, I now see that I was tilting and was playing my best , and when I started to play my best I got closer and closer to cashing and finally got it. Thanks for your suggestions

It's also fine to get your money in bad.

It's probably a sure sign of playing bad if you don't leave tournaments early and also don't win.

I seriously don't know how to take these comments:(
I hate donkaments anyway.

It's a great old Shaun Deeb quote. Basically when stacks are short you should be shoving so wide and so often that it's inevitable that you're going to get your chips in bad some of the time

Who according to thepokerdb.com has a pretty good ROI, and has had several 50+ streaks without cashing BTW.

If you saw his reaction after losing with AA to A6 for a huge pot in the Main Event, which he was playing very seriously, even talking about how he adjusted his normal strategy, you can tell he has been through it all a million times.
