Hello guys,

I've played my first 4max poker game today and it actually went quite good.

I've been thinking about how to play it today as there isn't much of good info to find? And because it's 4handed, I guess it would play a lot like a cashgame as it's regular speed. Went through the tourney playing very agressive, had a 33/27/12 on 350 hands when busting 15th.

The reason I've got beaten wasn't a cooler, it were the regs who practically outclassed me.(ended up with a 1,5x chiplead over 2nd with 30players left(total 3xx), but got on a table with 2 regs on my left that I didn't notice untill too late.

as my strategy was LAG 6max with the tought of utg+mp folding to the co, I noticed the regs calling 3bets very light IP (A4s) and calling 3 streets with a paired 4 and no outs(except A)

another hand which was quite strange(against good reg):

sb vs bb raise 3x 40bb eff stack
flop JJ7dd hero bets from sb (77) villain calls
turn 9d hero bets villain calls
river 2 hero bets villain re-raises, hero calls villain shows nutflush

what's the logic in raising for value on the river? or are ranges just that loose?

In hindsight I may have been battling with the wrong guys for the chiplead and should've "parked the bus" untill a reseating.

So, my question to you guys: How should I adjust to 4max?

and in addition, I didn't see a lot of 4-betting on these light 3bet tables?

please shoot, and help me improve my game :)
