| You can expect your ROI to be much lower in HU than anything else IMHO. A while ago I played 100 HU sngs to see if they are profitable. I ended up with a ~18% ROI after the 100 games which is much lower than my MTT ROI which is ~145% after 150 games. One pro I can say about the HU sngs is they really elevated my Omaha game (all 100 HU sngs were PLO). I think that my experience in these HU sngs helped me run deeper in the MTTs and get higher finishes/more money. So even though my ROI in the HU sngs were much lower than average for me, they helped me in the long run with increasing my MTT ROI. |

| could you get anymore of an extreme example.. of course MTT roi is going to be WAY higher than any other form.. this is due to the fact you dont cash as often as a HU sng or 9 handed sng.. i have no idea. but as a guess,, if your cashing more than 50% of the time your a winning player.. but who knows.. depends on rake a bit as well.. if its a 1.20 hu sng. your generally going to struggle to show a decent ROI.. |

| yeah the 1 dollar + .20 are hard bc of the rake. I was rolled for the 5 dollar for a bit, but i took a few losses, and now im down to the 1.20 territory. I definitely can see how the roi would be less, but the skills you gain seem to be invaluable. they apply to all types of poker, and force you to make decisions often. the only thing you cant learn from hu is patience |

Why does not cashing often affect the ROI? |
|

| as you go in longer spells without cashhing due to bigger fields... but when you do actually cash its quite big in comparasin to the buy in... whereas you make smaller amounts hu and 9 table sng.. but more often.. so your return on investment is smaller but you play more of them and cash more often.. whereas MTT you cash less often, but its a bigger payout. thus ROI is much higher... |

em, possiblly not...rake can be a bitch, expecially when its 20% extra.. plus, if you play 1000hu matches, and ave a roi of 1%, i dont think its good...youll have spent that roi on internet charges, lol |

There is for example a player at PS, called jorj, who has a 1% roi. So far this year he is up more than 100000$, and thats even before rakeback. |

| re: hu roi poker it depends what level you are playing. if you are playing for 10000 bucks a game, then you are winning 100 bucks a game with a 1 percent roi. but if you are playing the 2 or 5 dollar (like me), you are winning 2 or 5 cents. not so good :-/ |

| 10 % ROI means your a good solid grinder. Once you go up in limits your ROI will decrease b/c is more likely to face good opponents, but still you can make good money if you master the game and the psy aspects (tilt especialy) The main goal is to reach the high buy in games....depends were u live...30 $ up levels can make u good constant money... L.E. If at the 1, 5, 10 $ ( I cant' say much about highr games than that from my experince pov) you have 1-2-4 % Roi usualy means you have leaks in your game and is better to fix them before moving up |

| re: hu roi poker I saw a lot of good folks having >15 % Roi at 5-10 $ levels I really can't understand how they do it but I want to figure it out. |Maybe they play only regular speeds or maybe I am miles away from playing good poker at those limits |

| I had like ~ 10 % ROI for 5 and 10 but I droped due to the last games..downswing and some bad play. I saw on sharckscope ppl having 15-17 % Roi at lower levels which I hope to achive... L.E. Yea also I didn't went past 1k matches yet so it is time...guess a better estimative Roi comes over 3 k games |

| id say compare it to winnings...the more you win the more you make so if you win alot its good if you lose alot try something else...heads up is you vs someone else so it involves alot of skill...if your 50/50 you might want to think of playing sng or somthing like that...id say a good roi would be 70 % |

But in the spirit of what playerk7 is trying to say, you have to look at winning streaks and losing streaks and you'll have a pretty good idea of how good a HU player you are. Coming back from a losing streak is probably one of the most important metagame skills you can have HU. |

So from what I read, smth over 60 % ITM is Ultra Grinder ( means super good) In hu sng u have to be like 55% ITM to make profit IMO 5-10 % Roi means solid grinder whit skilllz For the OP i would say that the 2-5 $ games a ROI of > 10 % is attainable and sustainable |
