DOUBLE UP SNG One simple questions , what do you think about them? I've been playing them in Titanpoker but i'm curious whether they are profitable or not in the long run and when should i go up with buy-ins? Would it be right to play (for example) 5 $ double up sngs with a bankroll of 100-120$?

It depends on your winning percentage. You can count on winning 47.5% of the money you win in every double-up tournament you place in (thanks to the 50% buyin and 5% entry fee) so you must have at least a 2.5% edge to break even. If I were you I would start at the $1 tourneys and play maybe 200 of them and keep careful track of your finishing record. If you're profitable after that time, then you can jump to the $5 tourneys (as the difference between opponent quality at $1 and $5 is minimal). P.S.: If my math is off then other people can let me know.

I believe that double up sngs are profitable and a great way to build your bankroll. I believe you are playing the right limits with the bankroll you have. Once you drop down to like 85-90 bucks, you might want to move back down. It depends on your skill set really. Good luck building your bankroll.

re: DOUBLE UP SNG poker They can be a pretty decent way to build the bankroll but fairly boring at the same time. I found them to be a good way of clearing some of my bonus when I first joined PokerStars because of the entry fee/rake. Like any other form of poker, DoN SNGs have their own little foibles and anyone who grasps the relevant tactics can play them profitably, for sure.
