Daily Dollar Ok, long story short I made $2.25 off of the razz freeroll on full tilt. Before this I had $0 in my BR. So I was wondering if the daily dollar tournament would be a smart one to buy-in to. I see that they pay 1080 places and with a low buy-in I was thinking the competion wouldn't be very good. Good idea? Has anyone here played in this and if so was it hard to make the money?

I think it is. The DD is very easy to cash in. You just have to stay pacient and wait out all the donks. Also, towards the bubble if your on the bubble here is a tip, in the DD people get eliminated very fast. You may think that you won't make it if your at like 1080 with 30 people left to get knocked out but, you will. GL and congrats on the freeroll cash.

It's a good tournament because it's deepstacked. (meaning if someone donks you, you'll still have enough time to rebuild your stack and you get alot of play out of those 3k chips) The only problem is the runtime. I think it starts at 7pm and ends somewhere around 5am if you make a deep run. It's a grind.

re: Poker & Daily Dollar If you want to play daily dollar tournament, you play every night for a ticket to this tournament, you start with 300 chips, blinds increase at 5 min, of 7500 men need to go into the first 200 to qualify and took the ticket to daily dollar. But keep in mind that this tournament is very hard.

completely reasonable that you could be cashing 35% of the time, because unless you run bad or are a bad player, its very hard not to cash. Still you're gonna need 20-30 buy ins to be safe, and thats assuming you're only gonna play the DD which has notoriously bad play and takes like only 2-3 tournaments to get the hang of playing. For building your BR, best recommendation I have is staying active on the forum and getting into the freeroll club. Great play and good payouts for putting in only your time, takes only about 2 hours to cash in comparison to 6-7 hours for regular freerolls, I dont even touch those anymore. |

If you know anything about cash games I would try to grind microstakes for a while. Leave the table if you ever get above about 1.5 what you started with until you have a few more buy ins. After this you can move into SnGs. This is what I did and it worked fairly well. with such a small bankroll don't be entirely surprised if variance kills you completely.

Basically you're not rolled for anything with just a couple of bucks so take your shot at whatever games you feel you're best at. Ordinarily I'd say steer clear of MTTs when you're playing with a low bankroll... but since your bankroll is so low as to be practically non-existent and the daily dollar is so soft... meh, may a well go for it. |

If your gonna have a go at it with only a couple bucks in your account, you are gonna have to pretty much think like a donk...especially early. I'm not saying you have to play like one but remember, the first couple hours are pretty much a crap shoot unless the deck loves you that night. Don't try any tricky plays, or things considered more advanced, unless you know you got the nuts, or you are not risking too much. If you are thinking about raising to isolate or shoving, cause 6 of nine just limped in, and you have a premium hand...forget it, chances are most of them will call you with just about anything. If your just looking to just cash to build your roll, play tight with your raises, and see cheap flops with hands that have potential. Don't over think things either, if someone just shoved 10000 into a 400 chip pot, chances are they just busted their nut and have something. And like someone mentioned above, if you are close to the bubble, it probably will go by quickly, so don't panic too much. Around the bubble 30+ players can and probably will bust in minutes. One of my biggest pet peeves are when you have like a 2000 chip pot and someone min bets like 50 chips...I've had to learn, that in the Daily Doofus, just go along with it, unless you got it, cause chances are if you have a decent holding and decide to raise, you will get called down. Play does get a little better towards the end.

Played my first daily dollar tonight. Finished in 161st out of 8,134. Not a bad place, but still a little salty. Was staying around 40th-60th once ITM, and as high as 26th. Ran into a couple donks who called down with nothing, and caught a miracle on the river to cripple me a few times.

In my opinion you should play a 1.10$ MTT because they usuallly pay like 150-200$ for 1st place and there are usually like 400-700 players depending when you play it (morning, night etc.) and with the rest you should play satellites or if you want you could play 9 handed satellites for 0.25$ i think for the Daily Dollar, maybe you can win 2 or 3 tickets to the Daily Dollar, but the daily dollar has like 8000 entrants usually and takes like 8-9 hours so its not worth making the effort. Good luck
