What i'm getting at is that cash we're pretty much always 100 BB deep, tournies you can be 20BB deep and raise/c-betting kind of hurts you so you really want to have a plan before you raise pre-flop(just like cash), with certain hands that are good, but play poorly postflop you might consider shoving. But yeah in some cases it may be better to just fold it, but this is all very general and situational, getting back to the OP, yes raise/c-betting is profitable if you know what your doing . |

| While you can generalize in terms of how often you should c-bet in tournies, it's pretty situational. For instance, some things that can factor into the decision are the styles of the opponents, how many there are in a given hand (the fewer the better), board texture, how well or badly the board texture hits their pre-flop calling ranges, the relative stacks, etc. |
