| I have played the Bodog 100k quite often and have reached the FT four times. It used to be pretty soft, particularly in the early levels. A lot of qualifiers not accustomed to playing deepstack tournies would get themselves lost by playing mediocre hands out of position. It was very profitable to play connectors and pairs in position. Since Black Friday, I notice that the number of players in the game has increased (presumably people displaced from Stars and Tilt), so it`s possible that things may have changed a little. I haven`t played in recent weeks so can`t be sure. |

I've only played it once - yesterday... not soo good. In early levels AA < 63 & then KK < QJo. I was surprised (although I expected it) by just how bad soooo many of the players were. Many seemed like they weren't Tournament players (ok.. I check most of them out - - running their names on a couple sites/doin' searches on them... & found quite a few to be losing players who play stuff like $3/$6 FLHE, passive players seeing too many flops, Limp/Calling, calling down 3bets O.O.P. & willing to get it in with weak hands). I believe quite a few CC members have had good results in it, with many of them ITM regularly. |

I'm hoping to take a few more shots at it myself (the $100k that is). Alot of CC member's names are easily recognizable in the lobby. |

| ShowDoun plays the Bodog 100k frequently since Black Friday. He used to enjoy the Sunday tourneys on fulltilt and pokerstars where the prize pools would be 100k and buyin only 10 bux or 22 for the double deuce. He cashes in it often but nothing higher than a top 12 finish. The payouts are top heavy and he gets tempted to go for the mincash if he has less than 10bb's with 50 or so players to go to get into the money. This strategy probably costs him the chance to accumulate a large stack to go deep, but he gets itm more often playing slow and cautious near bubble. The times he did go deep he had a safe stack near bubble. The field size is about 600 players and usually has some overlay. 90 get paid so it's a high pct compared to most mtts that get itm. Always seems to be a loose aggro on the table early on and 4 or 5 tightwads waiting for premos. I look up each player on bluffmagazine . com and about 10 pct of the field have over 6 figures in overall winnings. Most players are satty winners, newbies or players with less than 1k won. Sadly, this is the only tourney with a 6figure prize pool that he plays. He did play the Merge Network 100k a handful of times in May/June and even won free tickets to it in their 100 seats to 100k freeroll, but went broke chasing their bad beat jackpot at the cash tables. He never deposited on any poker site and doesn't want to start now. zubs1aa scored big in Bodog's Poker Open for 75k. He plays in a few cardschat Bodog tourneys and probably does the 100k sometimes. given68 and bryan24 recently won tix thanks to the private games. Silverfox432 was chipleader when I busted a couple weeks ago in the 100k and went deepish for top 27. JohnnySeaBet aka PokerOrifice finally dusted off the cobwebs on his ticket and played the other day. Connector hands like 63 and QJ are good to play against his type early on |

Do they have to be soooooted or not? 63s I can see but 63o I'm not so sure. Should these be played out of position to? Best of luck all. |

| I was mostly joking about playing 63 but qjoff or suited 65, etc. are certainly playable in position and multiway and/or headsup out of position lol. If you have a feeling you're gonna hit or know you can bluff the villain off their hand then any 2cards will do. I didn't have much luck today in the 100k. 372nd out of 621 players. Had 6500 at the 1st break but then tried checkraise bluffing instead of cbetting and got into trouble as they wouldn't fold jack9 on jackhigh flop. I barrelled the turn and bet very small on the river. Dropped me to 10bb's openshoved kingtenoff from sb ran into 66 busto. Cashed in the 130pm 7k gtd $11 buyin for the weak 18.92 mincash. |

| re: Poker & Bodog 100k when i played it the players were pretty soft early on but you will be able to figure out who and who not to battle with. there are alot of reg's there who have been playing there for years so i would open up higher buyin mtt's while your playing and make notes on the better players. bodog's software runs kind of slow for me so try not to get impatient. about a 10k or more overlay atleast. |
