| Bad play? or good? two seater heads up. Stacks are even. Its the first hand of the game. villain is on the button and pushed all in. You call with 99 villain turns over ak and misses Hero wins Im really not sure if I made the right call. There was no way for me to truly know his range because it was to early in the game. But I made the call based on a the fact that these low stakes headsup games are filled with bad players that push all in with anything. And its been my experience that if villains have a made hand such as kk, aa or qq, they usually don't go all in with it preflop but... either slow play it or place one big raise then bet aggressively on the flop. Thoughts? |

| Hello. Surprised none of the HU guys have given their thoughts on this. I've played exactly zero HU matches, so take my advice for what it's worth, but... With 9-9, you have over 70% equity v. random hand. Too big an edge to pass-up, especially readless. Also, I generally agree with your thinking about villains with big hands... They are going to want to get value for them so (usually) they are just not gonna open-shove very early in the match with them. Just my opinion. |
