It depends on the field, it's not the same if you play tourneys of 8000 players than 100

Hello Anderson. The amount of your buy in (or the amount you take to a cash table) should depend on your bankroll. Look into bankroll management strategy. There is lots of information out there.

Well there is more than just ur bankroll management. It depends on your skill level also. For example bill gates is rolled to play the highest stakes in the entire world... But if he sat down with Ivey, dwan, Viktor blom. He's going to lose everything because those player are in a different tier.... A very different tier

^^^^^This +1. My advise was assuming your poker knowledge has a sizeable foundation already. One place to learn about BR management is Chris Ferguson's video on full tilt poker website. You may also find it on youtube.

Yeah I don't think he will lose his $60 billion roll,(or whatever it is) at those stakes.

A lil brag, I actually played golf in the group behind Gates at Nicklaus North in Whistler, B.C. You would think all that money could buy a good golf swing. It doesn't.

Bill could play 100kNL and not feel it. He doesn't though because he's not that good and it makes him uncomfortable.

I most certainly did not know this lol. Thanks for the info. But if I were the others at that game, I would not attempt to bluff the guy with 30 million buy ins or whatever he has I don't even know lol. My calculator doesn't have enough places for digits ;)

Bad idea. Variance is too high in tournaments to pull off something like that. If you were going to be strict with ur management u would have 50 or in some case even 100 buy ins. On a side note please cut the #YOLO crap. Nobody here on the forum will respect you if all of your posts look like they came out of a 10 year olds mouth
