Winning MTT and SNG players!!!!

Straight to the question, this is mainly for the tourney grinders (MTT and SNG) but any valuable post would be helpful. What skills do you fill it takes to have a good ITM and ROI avg. or what skill you fill you possess. If you could gave a brief descripiton of the skills. This is what I have:
Example:

ICM: Indepentent Chip Modeling (Note:Explain how to use)
Disciple
Pot Odds
?

Add anything else and/or expound on examples.

SnG's are often the easiest games to exploit. How i do it is to play extremely tight til there are only five players left. Now i only have to beat two donkeys to make the money. I can do that most of the time.

The question is flawed, imo. If we are talking single-table SNGs, these are radically different from MTTs and require different skills.

Also there is a big difference in MTT strategy depending upon your goals. If you are just aiming to cash your strat is different than if you are only going for the FT or the win.

You need to have perhaps 4 goals in a tourney and then reassess them once you reach each one. You must make sure you are in position to reach your goals at each stage of the tourney and switch your playing style to achieve those goals.

Well for sitngos i mostly agree with muckets here. Play a tight game and then its very important to use icm to outplay your opponents. While all of these factors are important, of the ones you listed discipline and icm are imo the most important.

I play mostly in my pajamas. Aren't most of the people here primarily online players?

SnG's are easy Tight is right..
MTT's you have to steal blinds, also play tight at the start..

I posted a sample base, of hands, there based on SnG's. But i don't think i will be handing out my MTT hand data.

Let say SNG's: 45 90 & 180. I totally agree with the "Tight is Right'' skill, but I believe even a break even player the understand TAG style will break even. Because right now I'm break even and wondering what skill's and what should you have knowledge of to become a winning ''SNG Player''?

If you are playing tight til the field is down to five or four. What you need to do now is learn something about shorthanded play. For example connectors lose value and medium pairs gain value. This is just one example but you should get the idea from it.Also as always position is important.
