why does he call me on the flop ?

he calls me with none on the flop with a strong bet.

can any one explain me why ?

I think the only logical reason to call on the flop is to steal the turn if you slow down, but when he makes a draw, he figures why risk being raised off it, so he checks behind. I think you did miss a bet on the turn, especially heads up. Then the river is just a death card for you and nothing really you can do about it, especially heads up. I think if you bet the turn, he lets it go.

Well I can only assume cause your bet reeked of weakness on the flop, B) You checked once you hit your Pair (on the turn), and C) Let him Catch up on the river to beat you....

Just curious though what were you playing? FR? Tourney, Sit-N-Go, I know Heads up, but exactly for what I mean to ask? Sry Kinda redundant question but just curious

That's the way the donkeys play poker, they start with nothing, and they eventually (on the turn or river) draw out on you.

Fold or reraise preflop. Calling HU OOP with QTo is just about as bad as it gets. Donking that flop with nothing is a close 2nd. Checking the turn is 3rd.

As to why he called the flop bet? We'll it's HU, he has position, and his hand is very likely to be good. Also he likely knows you're not very good because you called OOP and then led out on a flop that he'll be cbetting about 110% of the time.

I guess i need to play stronger on the turns.

Well placed and timed aggression can get rid of chasers but only some of the time. Seems the less you are playing for the more chasers will chase also.

Add to that the flop bet was 1/2 pot and villain can call with pretty much anything.

He was playing in position as the button, Surely your bet of one BB out of position at such a low amount was incorrect, a lot of button players will call a low bet at 3-1 odds.
Why did you check the turn and give him a free card.
Then you bet the river when the board screamed straight, I would have read him for AJ at that stage.He could have also been calling with a pkt 7s 3s or ks when he called the flop and was slow playing them.
Your big river bet with two pair was a huge risk, you had little information about what he had to make such a bet.

Since you didn't raise PF it's easy for him to think you have a raggedy hand. You min bet on the flop and HU I'll call a min bet with pretty much anything after a check, you're lucky you didn't get raised-I woulda. Checking the turn makes it look like you were trying a weak attempt to buy it on the flop and he gets to see a free card,making the straight on the river. IMO the villian's not a donk at all-he played this hand almost perfectly.He got to see every street at a bargain basement price.

That may be what donkeys do but the fact this villain does it doesn't make them a donkey.

By the way, I don't like the allin on the river. Over betting two pair is a great way to lose chips - when the villain raises to 1k what do we think we are beating? It all reaks of them slow playing a set, or K7/KT/KQ or just the kind of hand it was.

I am thinking 5 BB in the pot OOP is the max i should play.

and 15 BB in the pot IP is what i should play.

I over played the hand which killed me.

There are some definite leaks in both the heroes and villains game. I would suggest studying your stats and seeing where you can make corrections to your play. Like mentioned above, your turn aggression is too low on this hand. I would be curious to see if this holds true for your overall play.

Maybe your major leak was playing Q/10o He would type you as a very loose player and be prepared to try and out play you, which he did using position.He may have seen the implied odds available by continuing and could have seen that you will check the turn rather than test his hand strength,

Since you raise preflop, and you raise flop. You sometimes have to make a continuation bet on the turn and the river. You missed the bet on the turn. They say the third bet is a charm. I have been discouraged many times missing a flop, but have won many a hand just continuing a continuation bet and many times if they don't fold it on the turn, they fold the river. If you cannot continue your betting , you should not be raisin preflop and flop. This looks like a bad beat, your 2 pair should have won in most instances, you did get ripped off here. But remember the continuation bet to finish off an opponent.

He called you to see what are ou doing on the turn.This was a HU hadn. Than you checked and you let him se a free river. And i think you should had bet because u hit second pair and he checked you on the flop thing that showed weekness and pot control from him. I do not know if he would called you if u bet half of the pot on the turn because he now had 8 outs for a streight. But i think you had to bet your second pair on the turn at least half of the pot and than u would had known if he had the king.
At heads up when u get top pair or second pair u have to protect it because the opponent is most likely that he does not have it. If he would had called u after the turn than u had to ring the bell . He was not a donk i think because he did not became pot committed untill he made his hand.
