Why did I win so much with this hand?

I'm wondering why I won so much with this hand.
It wasn't the best hand pre-flop.
The King was best on Flop, all I hit was a 4.

You won so much because the guy with KJ can only win the portion of the pot he is entitled to because he started the hand with less than the bb. He can win no part of the pot beyond the 2802. All remaining $$ are between you and the guy with A8 and since your pair of 4s beats his Ace high, you win.

Even so, the amount he won doesn't really tie up with the amount the BB had. Its certainly in that region, but there is still something missing.

Yeah if it was a freeroll, people do some strange things on those. No real money at stake for some people equals no real strategy.
