| Where should I start? i have a 3k roll. i was just starting to grind 4 tables of 5nl and then i cashed in a tourney and my roll jumped from 200 to 3000 so my question is with my roll i know it is big enough to start playing 100nl but should i jump right into 100nl or should i start with 25nl or 50nl? |

If so try 10NL If not stay at 5NL until you beat it.. it only gets harder the higher you go. |

The buy in must have been a fair chunk of your 200 roll? |

| I wouldn't recommend jumping straight to 100nl because 30 BIs is the min you should have at 100nl imo and it's a lot different than what you're used to at 5nl. I also wouldn't waste your time playing 5nl. Move up to 25nl imo. The play is basically the same and you've got plenty of BR to cushion you if you struggle initially. I'd also 2nd pulling some $$ off. It's always nice to buy something with your winnings. Congrats and gl. |

| Congrats on the cash. There is nothing wrong with playing nl$5 until you get a little more used to hand ranges, but you should be aiming to put in your first "decent" amount of hands at nl$25, im talking about grinding out at least 50K hands, to see if you can beat that stake. Get PT3 or HEM if you dont already have it. |

| Sounds to me like you should be playing more MTT's with entries of up to around $50 (2% of your bankroll). If you want to play cash games and you think that your up to it, you should be aiming for $5/$10 fixed limit or $2/$4 NLHE. You should average around $20 to $25 an hour profit (depending on the site), if not you need to be stepping down until you are winning. Personally, I think its wonderfull to see people step up to your level of play and hand you their money, so be careful. I would put some of it aside to learn a new variant of the game for fun - it helps during those dark days of poker. |

| There isn't much difference between $5NL and $10NL. If you're eager, move up to $25NL as play makes a jump at that level. Play a good chunk of hands there. Tenbob's 50k hands is probably best, but since you are over-rolled it wouldn't be tragic to move to $50NL after 35k hands or so, so long as you are willing to move back down if you find yourself outmatched. There is no shame in playing $5NL. Lots of people work their way up, and you did not work your way up the rings yet. Put in the time to give yourself a solid foundation and some time to learn. |
