Whats the best way to review??? Was wonder how everybody review there current limit right before they move up. The reason I am asking is because I am currently playing .01/.02 nl but a few more bucks will have enough to play @.02/.05. I want to make sure that I am a winning player before I move up and also want to know where I am personally leaking the most money. I know I am winning because I can see my bankroll growing plus I review my sessions to see what hands I lose the most and why. Would love to hear how ppl review before moving up in limits. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Also I use HEM tracking program.

Maybe you can post your stats here for review, and you can get some helpfull comments. Dont think you can ever know for sure when its right to move up, but as long as you have a good plan for your bankroll management, and have the bankroll, and is ready to back to 2nl if you have to, then I say go for it.

Do you multi-table or single table? Because that's a pretty solid BB/100 hands. IMO though since it is such a small sample size I would suggest maybe instead of just moving up when you get the proper BR I would set a target number of hands to clear first before moving up. Maybe 7K more to reach 10k? If your still maintaining a similar BB/100 and profiting then that should indicate to you that your ready to move up. GL

based on your stats you seem like a solid player at 2nl. If you feel your ready to move up I would take a stab at it. You can always drop back down and grind it back up! I don't think you'll have to worry about going broke since your a consistant winner at 2nl. I say go for it!!

you seem to be a extremely solid player take your time and only move up when you feel completely ready to do so no matter the size of your bankroll be sure nyou feel completely comfortable first good luck to you see you on the tables

Run all the reports on HEM. Most of them will give you at least some useful information about your play. If you have the basic foundation of play, you should probably just move up once you're properly rolled. I don't play much NL but I'm pretty sure everything up to about 10NL is quite fishy (some confirmation here from other posters would be nice). Numbers look solid but you're definitely running good so keep that in mind. Even at .01/.02, 65bb/100 is unsustainable.

looking at the hands were you lost the most is good. but also look at the hands you win on. and try to figure if you could of won more. eg if you bet the pot on the river considering his holding and stack size. ask yourself would it have been better to bet more? shooting for the highest EV possible is the best way to play. i heard that 45BB/100 is doable. so your 64BB/100 seems way high. as far as moving up i hear that the play isnt all to much different until you get to the 25nl. so if your rolled move up. a 30k hand sample is a minimum to get a rough idea of how your playing. i hear 75k is better. do you really want to play at 2nl that long? hears what i would do if i were you. wait till you got 20 buyins for 5nl. 1st try 20 buyins stop at 19 2nd try 22 buyins stop at 20 3rd try 25 buyins stop at 21 4th+up 30 buyins stop at 22 this seems like a good buffer and if you dont make it in your first few trys being able to make it make and then some at lower limit should prove to yourself you can do it.

![]() OK here is a graph after todays 939 hands at 4-6 tables. I am actually down $1.65. For some reason I keep losing to really random hands that were getting extremely lucky flops. Today i must have seen so many big pocket pairs not hold up. I was actually down at one point $12.09 due to getting it in and them not holding up. I was able to regroup and as you can see drop my loss to a minimal loss at $1.65 instead of $12.09. I had to really tighten up my game at the tables because it was extremely loose today. I was able to pick up some nice pots a long the way. So here is my graph after my hands i played today. Also i noticed my bb/100 dropped down 15.19 bb due to not really running so well. Also i noticed i was losing due to not tightening up enough at extremely loose table. |
