| Are you asking for a poker program to play on (Full Tilt, Pokerstars, etc) or are you asking about programs that keep stats and have a hud (holdem manager, pokertracker, etc)? |

| I just purchased HEM, never did try out PT3, but I have heard great things about both Hold 'Em Manager and Poker Tracker. Try their websites and read through, try the trial versions and see what you prefer but these are the top 2 used. |

Well, since I got PT3, the biggest advantage for me is being able to peruse my HH's and statistics to figure out where I need to improve. Has helped me become a much more positionally-aware player so far, and my winnings graph is slowly improving. |

| One thing to make sure of when choosing a software program is to make sure the software is legal to be used on the site. The second thing to check out is which sites you can use the software on. I don't use poker software, but I have heard good things about Poker Tracker 3 and HEM. |

It is pretty neat to look at a chart of your past progress, keeps a running tally of all winnings and losses and gives you a net $ ending/ |

| re: what poker programs to use Has anyone tried to get Holdem Manager for free by signing up for a poker room on their site? I might try that with the Players Only. |
