What is a good ROI?

what would be considered a good or average Return on Investment. As an hourly rate on .05/.10 table.

Playing either one or two at a time? Anyone got a formula or info on this.
Thanks.

You don't measure your win-rate as a ROI at a cash table. Usually you measure your win-rate in terms of big blinds per 100 hands.

A good win rate is usually around 6 bb/100, but I think anything positive is good.

2bb/100 was always the going rate. Yet, I TOTALLY agree with you that anything positive is good. imo, if you are winning 6bb/100 then you need to move up as fast as possible--given the proper br available.

ROI Thanks

Thanks for the info. So 6 Big Bets per 100 hands played or more is good. So for example if playing .05c/10c it should be 60c for every 100 hands played.
Just to be sure i got it right.
Thanks

Yep, your math is right. But honestly...that type of return is not likely. Not over the LONG haul of playing. Like I said above, if you can pull 6bb/100 for a significant length of time (over 50-100K hands), then you really need to move up and make some better money. 2 is much more realistic and the nosebleeders are looking for 1bb/100. Cheers

Does this mean that when you sit down at a 0.05/0.10c table that after 100 hands if you sit down with $10 on average you should be getting 60 per hundred hands? I'm always confused by this. Someone please explain this. Thanks

if you ran on a 6bb/100 hands, exactly, and left after 100 hands, if you started with $10, you would take away $10.60.

HOWEVER!, traditionally BB/hands refers to BigBets/hand and bb/hand refers to big blinds/hand. The notion of this BB/hands comes from LIMIT poker and is what the bet changes to on the turn or last 2 streets. So in most poker games the BB/hands would actually be 2 times the big blind. 6BB/100 hands should accordingly mean you leave with $11.20.

Now figure in the rake......

Thanks for the explanation of BB being =2x the big blind. Now it makes sense.

6BB/100!!!!! thats alot.. n i reckon u muz be good. normally ppl wuld be doing at 4bb/100 but yeah.. any positive is good. 6bb/100 is really really good... of coz if u r measuring it using NL10, there's nth much to make u feel excited. but what if as u progress, u r playing a NL100 or nl200 instead? tats more fulfiling...
