What to do when u hav best hand! hi ive started playing sit&go texas holdem tourneys 0.10 trying to improve myself... but there are certain situations where im not sure whats the right thing to do in order to get best results... for exemple, lets say u hav high pairs such as QQ or KK is it better to go all in preflop or see the flop ? cuz with those hands i often tend to all in whether at flop or river.. turn unless i see something oviously better coming up like an ace also if lets say at the flop i hav the best (or lets say good odds) such as highest pair or even 3 of a kind (low pairs in my hand and 1 on flop) what shud i do how should i be betting cuz i often got beat lets say on turn or river some of them get lucky n boom im done shud i try to extract money from them and try to win it before the turn comes ?

it is best to ALL in AA n KK but if ur KK mit Ak-2 n a A is on board, u r finished. so it's best to bet bigger than usual n i mean alot bigger when KK but all In preflop with AA. when u hit trips, if board is dry, u can slow play n build pot. but when it is wet, it's best to take dwn small win than get suckout...

http://www.cardschat.com/f11/triggal...-video-163906/ see link ^^^^ Trig has one more but i'm to lazy to find it.. It's best to raise with high pocket pair. The only time when you want to shove with high pocket pair is when your M falls below 10, or when you have a LAG player who won't fold.

re: What to do when u hav best hand! poker You should raise preflop 3-5BB, whatever the normal table raise is. For whatever reason, a reasonable bet tends to generate reasonable responses. A huge bet will trigger testoterone surges, competitive reactions, and will more often result in a call by that Ax -- and then you are in trouble if the A comes. A normal bet gives you a chance to see the flop, and decide whether you are likely ahead. All-in: I tend not to be in favor of that move except when short-stacked. I will call an all-in after I've raised, but then there are no more choices. I like having choices. Yes, you will lose when holding a big pocket pair about 20% of the time against a random hand, and will lose 80% of the time against a higher pocket. Against an unpaired hand with an A or K, you have about a 70% chance to win with QQ. Big pockets are great hands, and, more often than not, they will win for you. You just have to be OK with the times they do not.

If your into SNGs come join the SNG tread it's here every month. $$$ November SNG Thread $$$ But to answer your question. For the most part getting the most money in the middle with the best hand is the key to winning this game. And the best way to do this is usually betting. It's always a good idea to know just why you are betting. To protect your hand, to bluff, for value, to isolate there are more i'm sure but betting the best hand is usually for value. So jamming QQ preflop isn't usually a good way to extract full value from your likely best hand. As people with smaller PP's or any worse hand would normally fold to suh a bet. If you ask why i'm I betting this QQ and the answer is value you want to make a bet that will be called by 2nd best hands. If you saw a flop with lots of draws possible you might bet for value( to keep chasers in for the wrong price) and also to protect your hand(making it wrong to chase).

I normally put in a pot sized raise with the premiums. I have learned not to go all-in with the premiums. I usually put in a pot sized on the c-bet afterwards. If you get an overcard with heavy action, you can get away from it (takes practice to do that). When you get strong hands, the most important thing to do is to KNOCK OUT THE BLINDS with a big raise pf. You don't want them hanging around. If the board flops rag-rag-rag and the blinds are still there, they may have just flopped 2 pair.

My problem is "marrying " my hand if i have pocket jacks, queens, or kings. I bet big, someone raises pre flop, I call and an Ace or King comes out on the flop. I just keep bettin my jacks or Queens, knowing that they are probably beat but not wanting to leave em!
