| What do they know about me? I've never used HUDs or data mining software, with the exception of looking up a handful of players on sharkscope. I'm wondering what kind of information opponents who are using extra programs would have on me. Do they have information for every tournament we've been in together, or just while we are at the same table? I assume they can see % of hands I play, how often i open raise, maybe even cbet %? What else: raise sizes? play style by position or stack size? I wouldn't be paranoid if everyone wasn't out to get me. |

| Not sure myself how much info these guys can get on us as I like you dont use any of it myself however as I try to improve my game I am continually changing how I play so not really sure how accurate this info would be used against me who knows it may even work in my favour inti |

| re: What do they know about me? poker Wow, they can get all that off of my game. Didn't know they had program like that. They should ban that, it's freaking cheating. How is that fair? That sort of spoil online poker for me. But that good to know. What other cheating tool is out there? |

| That is WAY more extensive than I even imagined! So, HUD is obviously limited by space, but someone can pull this info up at any time? I don't consider it cheating, but it would be interesting for one of the major sites to implement "non-software" tournaments or games, for those who aren't interested in that stuff and would prefer a more equal playing experience... |

| re: What do they know about me? poker they can only legally track your stats from hands that they've spent at the same table as you. With sites like PTR though, it's fairly easy for someone to get hands on you if they really wanted to. To be honest though, I wouldn't really worry about it too much, as most randoms aren't going to datamine you, especially if you're playing micro/low stakes tournaments. If you're playing mid/high stakes cash, I'd expect more regs to be datamining, so then I'd be more concerned. btw I'm not actually speaking from experience, just sort of speculating. I would imagine most micro donkament players probably won't know what datamining is, or even know how to interpret/exploit any stats that are available to them, which is why I'm saying depending on what type of game you play I really wouldn't worry about it too much. |

So yes, parts of it are cheating, but not all of it is, and imo anyone who refuses to believe otherwise are costing themselves money. |

| I am too new to even cope with all that, but it would seem to me you could exploit the data pretty well if you knew someone was trying to use it against you. Think of it as having a tell that you learn about after everyone else knows. False tells can make you very rich for a while. And isn't most of that data "just interesting" unless you know the averages of the rest of the table that they were generated against? I play loose at some tables, tight at others, raise on the button more (or less) often against chronic limpers, etc... So looking at any average stats across my whole range of play would be pretty deceptive (wrong). |

This doesn't mean that you necessarily have to play the exact opposite as usual, but switching it up every now and then when your opponents are expecting something different could make you a good bit of money... |
