| I gamble professionally on football for a living and the exact same principle applies there: you can pick winners all day long but will end up losing if you do not have money-management as part of your game plan, because will have losing skids and bad luck just as you would in poker. |

| gambling proffessionally in whatever area you choose seems to be a question of discipline ,which is in stark contrast to the reason people are attracted the life of pro gambling which they feel is an easy way to make a living doing what they like ,and no downsides. the saying "a hard way to make an easy living " is never more apt.money management and a healthy dose of realism are prerequisites if you want to break away from the 9to5 life .i have often sat down in a game or even started my days betting on the horses and done well in the first hour ,well enough to say "thats it for the day " if i carried on i more than likely would lose most of it.(or win more! but thats the undisciplined me ) getting out while the goings good is a good thing in gambling in general imo!! |
