It always feels soooo right in the moment.. And it ends soooo wrong! I've learned this lesson before many times so why do I still call an all in like this? Thats $2.11 I could have saved. I was like, "Theres no way this guy has KK, AA, Q6/8, 66, or 88... D'OH!"

Would this play be profitable in the long run though? Definitely not in this situation.. right?

When he shoved it should of been a snap fold. If he was not shoving all in on ATCs we cannot call knowing he has to have a monster.
Remember AQ, and AK are great starting hands.
When you were playing at the table did you happen to watch him, how many hands he was playing ?
I don't think at anytime its profitable, i am not so willing to call on a flip in a ring table.
Well there are ones who shove with ATCs we would have to let it fall into luck, skill does us no good on a flip.

well i think this is one of those hands that separates losing/breaking even players from winning players. Gotta learn to let this go. you are good against so very few hands there perhaps maybe splitting against another AQ but behind most of the time.

also why do you say there is no way he has AA or KK. His actions could easily be AA or KK and it was.

I agree I should have folded without even thinking about it. I KNEW he was a tight player I'd been at the table for a couple hours, about 250 hands, and in that duration he was playing solid, playing very few and only turning over good cards at showdown.

What I meant by, 'Is this ever profitable?' was: Will stacking off with TPTK ever be profitable. I know sometimes it can be, against some of the .01/.02 players, but definitely not in this situation where I know he's not going to just hand me his chips like some people do. Hope that makes sense.

Right, I was explaining my delusional thought process. Sometimes, when I'm in a hand, I seriously doubt the odds that they have landed the cards that beat me. Its just my own flawed thinking that I have to work through. I'm delusional, like I said. lol

get pokerstove, it's free set up some hands and see the % that the hand is going to win vs the % that it will lose.
In the long run, i don't think so. i have lost more calling flips then playing a solid poker game.

This is something I really need to hammer into my head, partly the reason I posted the hand because I need to learn how to not do this type of stuff.

I am sure its safe to use well playing, it just gives the win % to the hand, and the number of hands it runs.
It does not give you data on other players.

In micro buyins -> player dependant. There are TONS of micro donks who'll stack off here w KQ/QJ/QT hands. This just wasn't one of them.

I missed one thing in the hand lol. In micro buyins the TAGS are good and we have to watch for them, when you start to think he can't have any of them hands, that's the point when you walk away and get some rest..
We can only do so knowing if he is going to play QK/QJ/QT then we can win a good size pot. I always think of the worse hands that i don't want to see, then think how he was playing before hand and fold.
remember to raise 3X, and 1 BB per limper.
I sure would like to know were PO finds the ones who will dump their stack on KQ/QJ/QT, i have not been seeing any of them, well i know one but she won't play me.

really? I've had players stacking off with far worse... not uncommon to see someone get it with a gutter & Btm Pr.
If you want to see ALOT of them, try playing RUSH poker... it's a common occurrence.

Yeah I dont know how the higher micro limits play really, but at 2NL some people seem to think its a good idea to shove with practically any weak top pair. I see it soooo much that it infects my thought process. I just need to weed out the tight players from the fishy jackasses. I know a tracker would help me in this area but I cant use them for multiple reasons.

Yeah it really depends on the opponent. I just had QK on a board of QJ6. I saw the other guy willing to commit chips with mediocre stuff, so I came over the top to his pot sized raise. Had only had 10 J. But guess what, he catches a 5 outter and wins.

Earlier against a similarly aggressive guy, I 4 bet him all in preflop after he 3 bet me on the button (I saw him continually 3 bet from the button) He had AJ. I lost again. He hits runner runner aces on the turn and river.

Sometimes you gotta take a gamble against the hyper aggressive guys. You'll be ahead more often than not. Again, only against the guys you've watched for a while and know that they bet liberally.

I happen to be running bad today, otherwise would have doubled up twice. Instead, am down 2 buyins.

Been playing 10NL rush, from what i can tell i am out ahead.. I do like how i can play the button more in rush then a reg table.
Oh yeah, like the dude who called down my AK raise, when i hit my A i shoved all-in on him and he called, easy 5.00 off of him.

you don't need a tracker, just keep an eye in the HH to find out their showdown hands.
I have PT3 but i don't use it much at all, i found out all i need to do is to watch how many hands they are playing. If you watch real close you will see the bluffers, i made some cash off of them in stars
