With that hand you should go all-in on the first hand of a tournament. AA ? AK ? KK ? KQ ? I hope their views to help me improve my game.

Depends on the tournament structure, I would only shove with AA or KK, but in all but the micros, you will get a call and when you do your usually looking at a chop and super rare times, your KK will get called with AA, so I usually just raise and go for value rather then shoving.

But at the micros, shove away, you'll often get called by a lesser hand. One time, first hand of micro MTT, the first hand, I was SB and folded to me I shoved with KK, and the BB called, my heart sank thinking he had AA, but the cards flipped and called with J4o...

freerolls come all with a pair of aces, kings, queens, jacks (if you are in late position). With KQ caution call limp if there was a raise. And yes I am prepared to relocate to AA.Good luck!

Ideally only AA KK but depending on the dynamics of the table and how much tables play villain, you can go all-in with QQ JJ.

Always AA, KK. Sometimes AK, QQ, JJ, particularly if you shove all-in, not call. Almost never KQ, 55-22.

None....unless you're talking about calling an AI.
With big pocket pairs you want value and shoving them, most of the times only rewards you the blinds.
In the long run that's costing you loads of value (money).
With mediocre hands you don't want to shove either...you fold them or try to see cheap flops.

It all depends on the tournament and stack. Nothing to say once and for all impossible.

Thats true if its freeroll and in micros Mtts..(rebuy or not)
They are willing to risk because its only a very small portion of their bankroll especially in stt .02 buyin..

Making a small or decent raise is good decision
And still its your decision to make the shove or not/ to call or not..
Making one fold and not to go with them in all in will not make you a looser but your just making a smart decision..

you should start tight (aa kk jj qq )
and try and maximise premium hands that come your way. Loosen up your play when the antes start, or at a time when you are approaching the mid section of the tourney. When the antes start, become more aggressive and as the bubble approaches, play really aggressive as most people just want to min cash. Exploit this. Study your opponents though and dont make silly calls that will easily get called and beat.

Just raise 3BB. If it's a micro shove it every single time because you will be called almost always.
Be prepared to loose to the most ridiculous hands imaginable, lol

Like other guy said, depends on the structure. sngs and freerolls you will get call from hands weaker than high pairs, so it's an option to shove, but I rather play for value.

in micros obviously AA and KK you can make a move to go all in preflop first hand. ALthough I think you should probably not move all in with anything early in a tournament its much better to just get value from your cards the best way you can. Thats probably the best way to play any tournament the only downfall to that is that in micros you may get someone that will suck out with some ridiculous 2 pair. So you should probably just shove with AA or KK preflop anything else is a bit too lose and some lesser players will call you with any A or sometimes any K too.. so QQ or JJ is off the table.

I never go all-in on the first hand of a tournament. AA AK KK KQ.
With these hands I'm going all in for just under 12bb
