It's best to keep playing the micro stakes and see how things go. Taking 200/3500 is good but that doesn't mean you want to jump levels. Keep going for that number 1 spot and when your bankroll shows the results at micro, you will know when it is time to move up a level.

I recommend keeping it small as well. I'd say that you should make you buyins no more than 5% of your bankroll (account balance in the poker site), as this may keep your bankroll from diminishing, which is good bankroll management (BRM). So keep it small. But, as your bankroll increases your buyins can increase as well.

No. The rule of bankroll scrip buy in should be 2% of the bankroll to play for$ 1 you need to have 50$ on the account.

Since you are a newbie, I suggest you start at the lowest buyin irregardless of the amount of your BR. You want to learn in the cheapest way as possible.

First of all: you are new, so you NEED to play on the lowest buyin that you find to gain some practice(freerolls could be better).
2nd, ending 200/3500 tells you nothing, since you could have made lots of mistakes and you could have been lucky. Its better to learn how to play and crush average players on your level rather than playing higet buyins.
3rd, never play with more than 1% of you bank on a MTT because variance can be brutal.
4th, if you are learning, why don't you focus on improving your game rather than playing higher buyin tournaments?

microstakes

As newbie you must play micro tournaments buy in , but also depends of how many money you have on accaunt. Example- if you have bankrol of 100 USd you play tournament with 2 dollar entrie, max. 3 dollar. Or if you wanna bigger tournament to play , then play sattelites for 1 dollar to get entries on tournament with bigger buy in. I play sattelites for 1 or 2 dollars and they get me to tournament with buy in from 6-109 USD. Its funny , and see you at tables. :fisheye: And for start dont play sattelites with rebuy , they will cost you much much more .

You need to play micro tournaments. You need to learn more about poker. 200/3500 its ok for newbie. Play on that tournament and when you reach few times on top 20/50 and earn some money and skills then go on higher tournament. But not to much higher.

Why not, if you have the opportunity to make a deposit, then it is better to start playing low buy-ins ( average bi 3-10$). So you will learn much faster game..

it all depends on what your bankroll. it must be at least equal to 50 buy-ins.

I think you should stick with low buy-ins for a while.
It doesn't really matter how much your bankroll is.
Playing big tourneys right off the bat will make you poorer.

With 10$ banrkoll not for mtts, You very quickly lose all, it would be better to play mttsng 0.25c, you have a chance to climb the limits...if you will stick to bankroll management of course...

No, you have to start with a low buy-in or you play Sit&Go go to 0,10 to max.50c....Sometimes lucky can go down and you will loose a lot a money if you don't have a high level...

If your bankroll allows you to play at the higher limits you can play , and if not then it is better to play the previous limits and raise your bankroll

You will find many different ideas on proper bankroll management, i.e. as little as 40 buy ins to 100. I would definitely recommend sticking with the micro buy ins for the time being. Also, make sure not only your bankroll is ready for the next levels when you do move up but your game as well..good luck!

i was 6th from 350 registered players
and before the money i went all in against the chip leader (omg) and i lost everything..............

Keep doing what your doing. This way you can learn and correct your mistakes at a low level. In a tournament always beware of stack sizes. If you go up against a bigger stack you'd better be sure you have the best hand.
