| I fell your pain, been on a downward spiral for two days. Going take a break and do some reading. Couple books were recommended here. Figure now is a good time to take a step back, come in a little fresher with a clearer mind. Any cards will be at the euchre table. If you have been running good it will come back. Just the nature of this game. It giveths and it taketh away. |

| re: Terrible Day Online; Advice? poker Sometimes we all go through burn out. We think playing comstantly will help imorove our games, but it can sometimes lead us to flying on autopilot. We start missing things that should be obvious, start making seemingly harmless, yet devastating decisions and sometimes fall into fancy play syndrome. Best thing I can think of is take a break from all things poker for at least a day or two (I know, addiction can be hard to break ). When you start back into the game you should take things easy and play, dare I say, basic abc poker for the first session or SNG, until you get on the positive side of things. So just chill a bit, it'll get better again. |

| It hapened a lot to me too. But lately i saw that the problem is me most of the time not the bad beats. 2-3 mounths ago i was going broke because of the bad beats and the tilt that come after it. Now i somehow managed to repair my tilting problem and even if i take bad beats i do not loose much or better i compensate with a good game. For example yestarday i took a lot of bad beats but i still managed to win 10 dollars after 6 hours of playing 1 dollar buy-in SnG. Just keep your cool and do not go to higher limits. I have another problem and i can see it when i play on CC freerolls lately. I do not have much time to play ( 10 hours a weekend is a lot) and it seems like i am in a rush at the begining of the tournaments to double up myself at the begining or get out to do something else . But those are only freerolls i do not loose anything . If u see that u take some bad beats take it like it is normal. But as WVHillbilly (http://www.cardschat.com/members/wvhillbilly/) said do not break the bankroll management rulles. Do not be greedy. 10 dollars lost in a day are easy to win another day when u have no bad luck. But an entire BR lost is hard to win back, |

now, if you're prepared for this to happen, and have plenty more money to reload for when you go bust, then go right ahead. but at some point you have to settle into proper bankroll management or else it's just a matter of time until you hit a streak that will wipe you out "proper" bankroll management with a roll of $125 would be to play like .02/.05 at the highest. with a roll of $50, it would be more like .01/.02 |

| re: Terrible Day Online; Advice? poker you need to look at proper bankroll manegment first. no way you can loose your complete bankroll than. not buyin in ringgames with more as 5% of your bankroll max and no more as 3 times max. also no tournies that cost more as 3% off your bankroll to a max of 5% if good money added game. stick to freezeout tournies or max 1 rebuy/addon for starters or iff you can resist play rebuy tournies but not ever rebuy. i started at titan with just $50 and played 1-2 and 5-10 cents ringgames with minimum buyins, also only 1 to 3 dollar freezeouts and 1 dollar rebuy tournies without rebuying there. bankroll after 6 months up to over 1K and withdrew 1.5K already i still play no higher as 25-50 cent ringgames and tournies with max $10 buyin there . had my bad streaks there also but after loosing 3 buyins on a day i stopped playing for that day there.. 1 other tip for ring games is if tripple up your buyin than leave table after the cuttoff and go to a new table to preserve your winnings. goodluck |

OP...you need to find an amount that you are willing to lose in one day and stick to that. I read once that you should not lose more than 10% in one day. You said you put $50 online for when you cool down. Great! that's a start. Now once you lose 5 bucks you are done for the day. Go read a book. Go be a donk at the play chip tables but don;t spend anymore money. If you can set this limit or block yourself from playing for 24 hours i would also suggest doing that. Good luck |
