I don't play with a HUD so easy things I take note of when I'm playing multiple tables: Are they playing with a full stack? Did they post the blind OOP when they first sat down? Are they limping UTG? These are easy generalizations that help me quickly recognize signs of weaker players.

lol nice post I hope there will be answers though there are some things that may or may not be accurate depending on your table...sometimes I find that when more time is taken then you get a raise or a call, it means the player is thinking and mostly means he hit something good!On the other hand the very quick check like he had the cheeck mark on it usually signifies weakness and you may proceed for the bluff. Then again these are just ideas and many experienced players won't do this but there are still a lot who would .

re: Tells in on-line poker I hear you. I have noticed the players usually follow a pattern. If I watch completed hands it will let me know if the player is betting on crummy hold cards (7,2 etc). If they are they normally will do it all the time. Thanks

Usualy this are the patterns. What have i seen is that a lot of ppl like to slowplay cose they saw other ppl doing it. So if i bet 2 blinds and they raise me or call quik i now i'm beaten and get away from the hand. Also a lot of ppl like to slowplay and raise hard on the river. U to take notice of them if u get a big pair and they have 3 of kind or 2 pairs. Also tells are the calls. If i have the best hand i always raise ... verry few times i slowplay. If someone calls me usualy he calls cose he waits for a flush or a streight. The are donks that w8 for second ace or second king. But usualy ppl w8 for the flush to come. Good players pay after the flop if the raise is not verry big and fold after the turn if the card didn't came. Also tells are the all in. At small stakes u see an all every 5-6 hands or less. If the donk hits the high card after he bet a lot preflop he goes all in. If he is not he checks

Here something I found: Players Who Chat: If the player is chatting, you can pick up some of the same tells as in live poker games. If he suddenly gets all quiet, he is probably plotting a fiendish strategy with a strong hand (or is making a super-quick trip to the bathroom or fridge). Betting Very Slowly: This tell could mean that the player is trying to show indecision and wants you to believe that he needs to think about betting. But more than likely he is trying to disguise the fact that he has a strong hand. Checking Very Slowly: The player wants you to think that he is contemplating making a bet (with a strong hand) but then decides to just check. This could mean that in reality he has a weak hand. However, if he then check-raises, he really might have been contemplating making that bet. Checking Very Quickly: This one is by no means certain, but it might signal that they have a weak hand and are just anxious to speed up the game, or they may have hit the check (or fold) checkbox which will make their check look instantaneous (well, because it actually is instantaneous online). Betting Behaviors: This is more of an observation than a tell, but you can often pick up betting behaviors and general playing styles of new online players very quickly, just like in the real world.

I'm not too sure as my cash sample is tiny but looking at river bets I ask myself: - Is villains bet likely to be a value bet ? - Did the river card improve his hand by any chance ? - How does the betting line he took on every street fit to the river bet ? - How does the betting line he took on every street fit to his general style of playing ? - Does he think that I will call his shove on the river given he has a strong hand ? - Often after contemplating these questions I get this answer: + Value bets usally are in a range that is lower than 1/3 of the total pot. + Shoving for value on the river doesn't happen very often (at the micro stakes I'm playing at least)

I generally instant check if I call a preflop raise OOP and hit a strong hand on the flop so not every instant check is a sign of weakness. Depending on how strong my hand is, I may just flat call a raise or reraise him. One mistake that I made a lot in the beginning at microstakes is thinking that overbets on the river are bluffs. What actually happens is that many of them will just flat call with sets or made flushes up until the river, and then push all in. Also, many are multitabling so don't read too much into how long it takes them to play. Now if they consistently play fast but suddenly slow down, that's different.

I instantely check to with a strong hand. I usualy not sur what to do if a donk raises . I could put him all in but he will fold. Usualy i call but after letting the time pass a little because i want the loser to think i am thinking of somethink. This seems like childs play but it works with donks. I know he has nothing so i call to let him think at least to try to bluff me. If he does i will make a lot of profit. The players that are multitableing ussualy are another story. Usulay they are players that know what they are doing and know some poker. The only tells i get from them are the times when they are actually playing. They have or a strong hand or they are trying to bluff me cose multitabling players are tight agressive players. If they call a half of the pot or reraise without overbetting the pot am out of that hand cose they have something. When they bluff or semibluff ussulay they raise the pot at microstakes and that is a tell of a bad habbit that a lot of multitabling players have. At microstakes not many players are experienced enough to mix their game their game when multitabling. Usualy is linear tight agressive not making many mistakes or a big move. |
