Study methods

I've been playing poker for a few years, started off in free bar poker leagues and about a year ago started playing for $$$ online and home games.

I banked about 7k roi last year but I have never read a poker book or used any other methods of study and still find myself in some spots others might find pretty basic but I'm thinking to myself wtf do I do now. I want to improve my game so my question is what books, or other study material would you suggest I start with?

Any book is better then no book but i started out reading Doyle Brunson super system

When you play online, I would advise taking notes. I've read parts of Brunson, but I felt like it didn't live up to the hype, although it did teach me a small things but it was more like mental notes to self than actual play.
