Simple Suggestion

Hey all. I have noticed that my game has improved imensley by participating in the CC Challenges! I'm not sure why but since new players should play in as many CC events as possible, try out the challenge and see if it gets you to play better too!

Hi Panamajoe, the cc challenge sounds like a great way to start playing, by the way what basic strategy do you recommend for HE

I read Doyle Lawson's book called Super System (I think) which led me to understand that the best basic strategy is a mixture of loose and tight aggressive. TAG or LAG depends on your opposition, position, and MANY other conditions.

from the guys here I've learned that bank roll management is an important issue, although as a true amateur I don't have much of a bankroll.

It is such a mental/psychological game that learning how to learn read others is a primary skill!

Doyle Brunson - I have that book myself but found other books more useful, especially Phil Gordon's Little Green Book.
