Finished it for the 10th time today actually, so I'll probably have to move on to sit and go by the numbers. There don't seem to be that many other SnG-related challenges. |

Won my first sit'n'go today, Yeehaa. I have played quite a few Double or nothings and find that they have been teaching me some bad habits (Playing for top 5 instead of to win) so im ending them and going to get stuck into te proper sit'n'gos. Won this on my 4th attempt... Dear stubzy11, You finished the tournament in 1st place. A USD 4.50 award has been credited to your Real Money account.

I played a couple more $5 games and got up to $130. A quick downswing could put me under the bankroll for the $5 games and I dont want to go all the way back down to $2. I wish there was something between, like 3 or 4 dollar games. I saw there was $3's on pokerstars so I tried to deposit there but they wont not accept my mastercard nor my echecks.

Just wondering how you guys multitable the sitngos. I have just started playing two at once and Im fine until it gets to about 3 handed and i start to have a little trouble keeping tabs on the action at both tables. Do you start all your tables at once or stagger them so you start one and wait 15mins until you start the next so that you are not playing 3 handed or heads up on both at the same time? Im guessing it will get easier I just want to know whats easiest for you?

I register for a $5-2table, $5-3table & $10-2table to start and then when the 2tables start I register for another 2table game, to give me 5 game set. I may mix in a tournament or a satellite also to go 6 tables. Depending on bio needs I may or may not fire up new games to replace closed ones. I would register for more 2tables but there are never more than 1 available in the PS lobby at any one time unlike the 1table SNGs.

I start two at the same time because the biggest difference on how fast they play (in turbos, anyway) is the player mix. Sometimes you're three-handed before the blinds get big and sometimes you're still six-handed at 200-400. So often the timing manages itself and you don't end up having to juggle multiple bubbles. And like DM says you'll probably be knocked early in a bunch of them anyway. |

Variance sucks. -4 BI's tonight, life tilt engaged. 99 vs Q9 on 9xx flop, all in, he hits running diamonds to 4 flush me down the drain. AK vs A4 on A5x flop, all in, he hits running cards for a straight. AQ, raise it up J7sooooooted calls. Flop is KJT rainbow, bet pot he calls, turn is a blank (but a spade), I bet pot, he shoves and I call, he rivers the flush. There were more but those were my favorites of the night. Someone remind me again that I WANT these people calling when way behind..........

I watched a Matt Matros video at Stox on 45 person sng's yesterday so thought I would give it another go last night. I played a 45 person and a 27 person at the same time. I didn't make it to the money in the 45 person - but was happy with some of the new plays I tried. I finished 2nd in the 27 person. He played a $69+6 in the video and has a very aggressive style. I only played $5+.50 ones so I adjusted slightly for that. I was really pleased with how many pots I was able to steal. In the one I placed 2nd in - I was the short stack with only about 600 chips at one point. Colin Moshman has a 45 person sng video there as well and I am going to watch it today and see how it compares. He evidently plays a tighter game than Matt so it will be interesting.

My dad says he thinks 6 handed STT are better because you only have to outlast 4 players to be ITM as opposed to 9 handed where you need to outlast 6 players. Even though that did make logical sense when he told me that, it failed in the real world (of the internet). I found the 9max game way easier to cash in, probably because the bubble starts almost from the begginning of the match on the 6max table.

I was just hoping that he would hit something on the flop, then the turn and river. Since he only limped in I was putting him on some low cards as he had been raising almost every hand since we got heads up. I havn't had much heads up experience at all but I am beginning to find out why slowplaying anything except the nuts is generally a bad idea... Any advice on playing heads up other than whats covered in here? http://www.cardschat.com/heads-up-strategy.php
